Mission: The Gulag

Really simple this one, eventually during this mission you’ll go to the armoury and there’s a Riot Shield in there. Pick one up, once the doors open melee a few of the enemies with the Riot Shield and the achievement/trophy will unlock.

This can also be earned on No Russian but that involves picking one up from an enemy. This can also be earned on the Just Like Old Times mission as you'll need to grab a shield on there also.

What BabyishDuck said about the achievement is absolutely right and its a very good way to get this done.

I found a way a bit earlier in the game: at the end of the skipable mission "no russian" you will need to take out a few enemies with riot shields. Just pick one up and kill another enemy with it and the achievement should pop right away. By this method you're able to get the achievement out of the way earlier so that you don't really need to play until "the gulag".

This is my first guide so pls let me know how I can make it better.

Mission: No Russian,Just Like Old Times,and The Gulag

No Russian:
Once you get passed killing the civilian's you will leave the airport and find some police officers with riot shields kill one of them. Then pick one up and find some one who doesn't have a shield and melee him (What ever you melee button is).

The Gulag:
After you enter the Gulag you will continue until Soap tells you to pick up the riot shield. Just find someone and melee them.

Just Like Old Times:
When Captain Price say pick up the riot shield and go across and melee one of the guys their. Now Price may kill the guys on the outside. There are more people in side the cave.

This achievement is practically unmissable in the mission “the gulag” but you can do it as early as possible in No Russian if you kill one of the cops and pick up a shield off them

Mission 10 The Gulag
Difficulty: Recruit

Half way through the mission you will enter a room with a bunch of weapons, including a riot shield. Defend the room for a bit and then move forward with the riot shield and eliminate in enemy with a melee attack. Reload checkpoints as needed.

To get this Achievement you must melee an enemy with a riot shield.

If you skipped the level No Russian you can get this in The Gulag level.

MacTavish will tell you to get a riot shield in the armory & all you have to do is melee an enemy.

A riot shield makes you invincible from bullets that hit the shield, but be careful of enemy melee attacks.
