This will require you to complete the entire section in less than 60 seconds. There are multiple strategies, but the most reliable one in my opinion includes using the P90 picked up from one of the first enemies. This is also likely to take you a lot of tried, so exercise patience when going for this.
Run forward and shoot the two enemies down the hall, skipping the enemy in the washroom. Flashbang the end of the hall, killing the enemies, picking up the M1014 (shotgun) to take out more enemies and then ending with the P90 for the rest of the run. (Note: Some players prefer using a flashbang and sprinting to the next room, letting at AI take out the enemies here instead). In the next room, take out the two enemies before the overturned desk and spray into back of the stairs, ultimately taking cover in the corner to reload and waiting for the hull breach. Then flash the bottom of the stairs, running forward and taking out enemies along the way. Once halfway up the stairs, reload, and immediately after flash the right side of the stairs, moving in and taking out as many enemies as possible. Pushing up here before reloading will allow AI to take out additional enemies for you but may be risky. Take out enemies through the wall as well. Use you last flash for the last hall. After throwing it, sprint forward and "Spray and Pray" the enemies until reaching the end of the hall where it is recommended that you take out your pistol to take out the final 2 enemies that run from the back. Then sprint to the door, and jump if you need a 0.1 second boost. After you reach the door, wait for the timer to reach 1.0 seconds, where the terrorist exposes their head, and shoot them. Escape from the plane for it to unlock.
Instead of closing the application like usual apply the same method but instead turn off your console after loading veteran, ideally pulling the power supply from the back of the Xbox or at the plug socket.
After you hit veteran you don’t want to pull the power supply too fast or it won’t register either. You want to let the loading bar get to around halfway then pull the power.
Hope this helps someone as I was worrying I was going to have to do this troublesome achievement legit.
This method is Xbox One X compatible because it highlights the quickest way for the console to quit out of the game. Previous Xbox One models have enough time to press start and quit out of the game, but the improved performance of the Xbox One X makes this part of the task difficult as your timing has to be impeccable.
The way I got around this is by moving the game install to an external HDD and thanks to it's slower loading speed I was able to unlock the achievement.
The game's total install is 74.5GB, so ensure you have a HDD big enough.
To move the game to an external HDD: Dashboard > My Games & Apps > Manage > Storage Devices > Internal Storage > Move or Copy > Select Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered then select Move selected > Move. This should take about 10-15 minutes depending on the speed of your HDD.
See below for the step by step method on how I did the checkpoint glitch on Series X:
1. Start Mile High Club on Recruit difficulty.
2. Get to the end where you have to save the hostage.
3. Shoot the hostage with about 2 seconds so that when it reloads the checkpoint you are back at the hostage part rather than the start of the mission.
4. Press then Save and Quit.
5. Press the and go down to the Call of Duty press and select Quit.
6. Load Call of duty back up.
7. When at the campagin menu go to mission select and then Mile High Club.
8. Select Yes on overwrite save that appears and then when it asks what difficult take a breath.
9. The second you press on Veteran quickly press , go down to Call of Duty, press and then quit (The same way you did at point 5 above but as fast you can).
10. Load back up Call of duty
11. Select Resume game and it should bring you back to hostage section on Veteran difficulty (Press to confirm the difficulty at the top right).
12. Finish the mission to unlock the achievement.
Right from the start, run past the bathroom enemy. Your teammates will kill him most of the time. After you run past him, head for the room on the left and shoot the 2 enemies at the end of the room. When you get to about the center of the room, throw a flashbang towards the back of the room behind the seats. From here, move to the left aisle of seats and blast anyone in your way. There may be one or two enemies left. Just ignore them as you'll most likely be in the next room before they recover from the flashbang. Once you pass the seats, BE VERY CAREFUL. Kill the one or two people on the right side, then knife the enemy on the left (Because you'll most likely be out of bullets before you get to him).
Going into the next room, go to the left side and crouch behind the seats and reload your gun as your allies call out the haul breach. Once you reload, throw a flashbang towards the stairs and fire as many bullets in as many enemies as possible. By the time you're out of ammo in that clip, the breach should happen. When the breach happens, work your way to the right side, whilst emptying your clip on enemies on the other side of the room. Reload once you're on the right side and move up and wipe up any remaining enemies. (Don't forget that you can shoot through the seats). After those enemies are dead, pick up a P90. This will be a lifesaver in the last rooms. (You should have roughly 25-30 seconds or so left on the timer).
Reload the P90 and go up the stairs to the right. Throw a flashbang into the room after the one you're in. This will give you time to eliminate the enemies in the room you're in. Once you throw the flashbang, clear out any enemies in the room. Dont forget that you can shoot through seats and the wall at the end of the room. Empty your clip, reload, and mop up any remaining enemies. You should try to eliminate all the enemies in this room and the ones behind the wall within 2 mags.
Go into the next room. This is where things become a little difficult. Reload your P90. This is the last time you're gonna reload your guns. After you reload, throw a flashbang down the hall. Once it goes off, just spray and pray anyone in front of you. Be careful going down this hall because theres an enemy in a little hidden compartment on the left side of the hall. When you run out of ammo in your P90, switch to your pistol. Kill any remaining enemies with it. When I did it, I had roughly 3 seconds left when I got to the door. When the door bursts open, DO NOT SHOOT THE ENEMY IN THE LEG. Unlike the other difficulties, shooting him in the leg will result in a failure. You need to go for a headshot. Wait until the timer reaches 1 second. The enemy will then expose his head, so you can get a clear shot. Shoot him, then wait for your ally to open the door. Jump out before the timer runs out.
When the picture with Captain Price, Gaz, Griggs, and Lt. Vasquez appears, Congratulations! You've just completed the hardest achievement in Modern Warfare Remastered! Sorry it was so long, but I hope it helped
Basically, change the difficulty to Recruit then get to the last part, headshot kill the soldier then quit the level. Go back on the level then select Veteran difficulty. Close application on the game and restart it. Go to resume game and headshot the enemy and the trophy should be yours!
(My successful method, others/yours may vary)
Things to note:
-This achievement takes many attempts, and can be quite time consuming
-It requires a bit of luck (with spawns, and flash bang placements)
-There are many methods, but all follow similar patterns.
-This achievement can be really annoying too
-Flash bang’s are your best friend that you’ve never met, make sure you use them
-Your AI teammates are useless, don’t rely on them helping you.
-Feel free to adapt this method to suit your own style or to make it easier for you
Method
(Numbers aren’t approximate, just a rough idea so you know)
1.Always run past the guy who comes out from the washroom to your left
- About 1/5 times he finds a way to kill you, this can’t be helped
2.Take the left side, and kill the man in the door way
-If when you shoot him he only stumbles, continue to step 3, then hip-fire him as you go
through, this isn’t a problem and does happen
3. Throw a flash bang straight ahead.
-Try aim for it to be around the last seat closest to the back wall, anywhere in between those two will do.
-Sometimes not everyone will be flashed who needs to be, this can’t be helped and will kill you, this can be really annoying
4. Run through the gap of stairs on the right side, and 9/10 times there will be a guy with a shotgun behind the left wall, do not wall bang, but as soon as he is in sight you must kill him, or that will be the end of your run.
-While doing this step, if anyone is between the seats blocking the path while stunned (as they crouch down covering their eyes’, it can mess it up, as they prevent you from getting past, but always try to hip-fire them to fully kill them and run past)
5. Run past the left wall (where you killed the man with the shotgun) and proceed on to the next room, but as soon as you enter the room, sprint right to the seats and the wall that sticks out a little to get cover, and immediately turn around (so your back is facing cover) an fire at the other entrance to the room (not the one we just came in)
-I recommend you always do this as about 1/3 times there will be someone there, who will kill you
-Sometimes a guy will run up to you on your right once you have your back to the cover, I don’t know why but he will always kill you
6. Now you can relax a little, as the hull-breach occurs reload, at this point you don’t want the time to be below 35, if you’ve done the last but with little problems it should be around 40-44, the more time you have the more relaxed your approach can be rather than sprinting the whole way.
7. As soon as the hull-breach has occurred, turn and move into the area where the hull-breach just happened. I always will take the right side of the room as I move up, and I kill as I go up the room, rather than killing them at the back of the room then sprint up. Now this bit has many different spawns of enemy’s, here’s what I’ve noted:
(From the closest to you)
-With the wall that sticks out on the right side (if we are facing the stairs), there will most likely be a guy crouched there, about 4/5 times, I always kill him first, but do not go out any further than his line of sight without hard scoping that corner to see if he is there
-Another spawn that’s more 3/5 times is man in between the seats on the right side (in the gap where you walk, not literally in the seats, sorry if I’m not explaining this well), he can be hard to spot as he’s usually crouched at first, but can stand up.
-Finally is the back area (next to the stairs), there will always be at least 2 or 3 who will run down the stairs, usually around when you turn and face the stairs for the first time after the hull breach, you can fire at them as you see them coming down the stairs, and/or if you miss or don’t choose too, slowly progress through the room killing the previous two people I discussed, but when you make it to the back row of seats, as you turn to the left, pre-fire and hip-fire the hell out of that place, even if you shot them at the stairs there is still a chance of people being there, make sure they don’t kill you before you kill them.
Then make your way to the stairs and stay in the middle, out of sight of anyone in the next room.
-One enemy also has a slight chance of staying up the stairs until you get to the back row of seats, this is rare but it happens, he usually catches me off guard, so be prepared to be shot in the back and killed unexpectedly by him.
8. When you make it to the stairs, go halfway up the stairs, turn to face the two doors leading to the next room (on the top floor), and stay in the middle to prevent getting shot. This is another point you can take a breather, and reload. Then as soon as you’ve reloaded, throw a flash bang, so it bounces off the curved wall on the right through the right door, so it reflects into the middle of the room.
9. Once the flash bang goes off. Slide to the left side of the stairs, and kill any enemy’s visible in the room you’ve just flashed, shooting through the left door at the top of the stairs, but do not stand in the doorway, hover up and down the stair case keeping yourself in as much cover as possible
-If you see any enemy’s in the next room (not the one you’ve just flashed, further on), I highly recommend you try kill them too
10. Once you’ve spent about 2/3 full seconds on that, reload again, and throw a flash bang the same place you did seconds ago. Now sprint your heart out through the left door, trying to make it through the next left door leading to the next room. As soon as you make it through, turn 90 degrees right (but still running, so your hugging the wall on the left side, trying to make it to the wall which has flash bangs next to it) and make sure to look and fire there everytime, as there is always at least 1 person around there, usually right against the wall.
-Like at the very start, when you run through the room theres a good chance people might be blocking your path while they are flashed, like before try hip fire them to kill them.
-Also try kill anyone who you think has eyes at the wall with flash bangs next to it, no matter who they are they can kill you, when you are there.
11. Now hug the wall where the additional flash bangs you can pick up are, and reload. This is your last reload. You can stay at this wall until the timer hits 12 seconds, which gives you room for a bit of error, but any lower than 10 then you must go or you have a very good chance you won’t make it before the time runs out. Like before, throw a flash bang so it hits the right wall and bounces into the next area (if your facing the wall you should be closest too, it’s the the right if you don’t know). As soon as it goes off (timer shouldn’t be lower than 8/9, mine was on 11), run through and this the part you use whatever you can to make it through,I think this bit is roughly the same every-time , and I’ve only made it here in my two fully successful runs, I can’t be 100% sure, but here’s what happened to me:
-When I ran through I admittedly thought i could run last two people blocking my path (crouched covering their eyes due to the flash), but I got stuck on one, so I hip-fired and kill him, the ran through to the next ‘segment’ where the hallway moves left.
-On this part there were two people for me (who shouldn’t ever be flashed so be warned), and I once again hip-fired both of them, as I recommend you ‘spray and pray’ as effectively as long as you get these people you have nothing to worry about Ammo Wise, just make sure you don’t do it too early. If in this situation you have no ammo on your MP5 or not enough, I would switch to your pistol and spray and pray once again as you move left, and if this runs out of ammo on the last guy (I don’t know how you would do that but just in case), knife him.
-Then sprint through to the double doors, and they will open, with a terrorist presenting the hostage
12. At this point the terrorist and the hostage will blast through the doors, and you need to kill terrorist. No matter what, wait until the timer hits 1 second, as the terrorist will expose his head clearly, then shoot the terrorist in the head, it must be a headshot.
Then your AI teammates rush in, as they finally decide they want to do something, open the side door, and you all jump out, and you watch the plane explode, pretty cool if you ask me.
The achievement will Pop as you enter the menus, so don’t stress if it doesn’t Pop when your mid air outside the plane!
I hope this guide has been helpful, feel free to ask any questions or leave any recommendations
-Good Luck :)
You will need patience, you will need RNG, you will need a strategy.
After completing the single player, you will unlock the mission Mile High Club. Each difficulty will subtract total time you have to make it to the hostage situation at the very end of the second floor.
At the start of the level, run up to the right of the bathroom. Ignore the enemy in the bathroom as the CPU will eliminate him. Once parraellel with the bathroom, take out the 2 enemies on the other side of the conference room. As you make your way through the conference room, flash the other door way.
I personally found success in spraying the rest of the MP5 clip in that doorway and instantly swapping it for the P90 on the ground. Proceed up to the next door way making sure to take out the two enemies behind the door. Push forward taking out both enemies behind the overturn table. Hug the right wall and take cover behind the little notch in the wall. Reload here if you have spare ammo.
After the hull breach, proceed forward and take out the enemy directly to your right. Look toward the stairs and take out the 2-3 enemies coming down.
Once at the stairs, reload the P90 THEN flash down the right most hallway and put some ammo down hall. Proceed up the right side and let your CPU allies up the left side.
Once you enter the next room, there will be an enemy directly to your left that the CPU will most likely miss. Proceed to the next room and ammo dump the rest of the P90 mag directly down the hallway and switch to your pistol for the 2-3 enemies around the corner.
Sprint to the end of the hallway and take out the hostage taker and proceed to skydive out of the plane for the achievement to pop!
Mission: Mile High Club
Mile High Club is an Epilogue mission that becomes available once you've completed the game. You have a time limit to fight your way through an airborne plane and rescue a hostage. The time limit differs on each difficulty level but on Veteran you only have one minute in which to complete the mission. This was by far the most difficult trophy in the game until a glitch was found to make it infinitely easier. (Credit to BubWright for sharing it on the forum.) That glitch has since been patched but there is a new one that can be used to make all the missions in the game easier to complete on Veteran, including Mile High Club. I have a video here showing how to utilise the glitch but I still recommend viewing the original text and video guide below the glitch video if you are new to the mission... Here is a helpful post from bLaKgRaVy pointing out where the final checkpoint in each mission is. This will help you make the most of the glitch.
Original text and video guide, still helpful for learning the mission lay out or if you want to earn the trophy legitimately...
Brian from PS4Trophies has kindly let me include his video guide. I will, however, be including details of the technique I used which differs slightly in some areas. If you're new to the mission or need a refresher I recommend watching the video guide and reading my method. Then you can try each one and mix and match whichever approach to each section you feel most comfortable with.
Once again, thanks to Brian at PS4Trophies for his great work as usual.
First off I will say that no one technique is going to work every time, in fact even the best methods will take a long time to get right. And not just because of the practice you need but because of several variables that can mess things up for you, such as the A.I. suddenly becoming useless and not doing what they usually do or enemies not being affected by your flashbangs as expected. And worst of all, being blocked by an injured enemy you thought you'd killed because your character can't step over them.
Here are my promised alternate methods for each section so you can try a few different approaches in each area until you find one that suits you...
- At the start you can knife the enemy that comes out of the toilet if you like but try to get into the habit of just running past him to save a bit of time. Usually your team will take him out although sometimes they seem to fall asleep and he’ll shoot you in the back, but it’s right at the beginning so no big loss when that happens.
- I switch to my pistol and hammer the guy on the left nice and quickly. Then throw a flashbang to the far end where the enemies come from. You should be starting to throw it as you enter the room you have to pass through on the left. Getting your throw right each time may take some practice.
- As the flash bang is going off I would grab the shotgun dropped by the first guy I had killed, replacing the pistol. You don’t necessarily need the shotgun but I found it helpful. If you do decide to grab it though the pickup has to happen super quick in one fluid motion. If you take a couple of seconds finding the shotgun just restart.
- Hopefully the shotgun has enough ammo left in the clip (it varies) to get you through this next section. Whether you have the shotgun or not you don’t need to kill everyone in this room. Most of them should be flashbanged still so only kill the ones you need to, the ones that are either blocking your way or are not affected by the flashbang. You’ll need to try and take out the 2 on either side of the T-Junction type area or they’ll continue to attack you even when you get to the next room, although you may be able to turn back and kill them from the next area while your teammates push up. I’m pretty sure there are more enemies in this first section than were present on the PS3 version and it’s difficult to describe each one's location but you’ll be doing this a bunch of times anyway so you’ll come to learn where the enemies spawn, where they end up and which will be affected by the flashbang etc. The goal is to push through to the next area as quickly as possible while the enemies are flashbanged.
- Head through the door on the left, take cover behind the seats there and throw a flashbang over them into the area ahead where the enemies are. When it goes off run to the little wooden barrier further up on the left and go prone but be aware of a couple of enemies that may still be on the right side near the barrier. The hull will breach sucking some of the enemies out of the plane while 3 others come down the stairs. You want to reload here while you wait for your team who will kill most of the remaining enemies. You can get stuck in yourself if your team are taking time to arrive. Be careful when you push up though, check behind the last row of seats in the center to ensure they’re all dead.
- Now with my MP5 equipped I went up the stairs to the left (so I was on the right side once at the top of the stairs.) There are several enemies in this small section before the dividing wall. You want to push up while taking them out ASAP, then you can throw a flashbang into the next area before moving in to clear it out.
- There are flashbangs on the table here so grab them and throw one into the corridor ahead. Equip your shotgun which should still be fully loaded from earlier and run past the enemies while they're flashed, shooting any that you have to. Some will come around the corner at the end so be ready for them with your shotgun.
- Once you reach the door you’ll be given a few seconds to headshot the hostage taker without killing the hostage so take your time and make sure you have the shot before firing. The timer counts down in slow motion so there is no need to rush.
- From here don’t forget to jump out the plane when your team opens the door.

This will take a lot of practice. Keep at it but take breaks if you feel yourself getting frustrated because that will impair your performance. Good luck and congratulations in advance!
But later I checked its performance on game version 1.10.
04/10/2017 works!
The procedure is as follows:
1) Load the level on beginner difficulty;
2) We go through it until the moment when we kill the terrorist who took the hostage and enter the room with the bomb. A new time report begins. Click the pause menu, then “Save and exit”;
3) Load the level again on veteran difficulty and immediately close the game by exiting to the main screen of the console;
4) Enter the game again and select the “Continue” menu. The loading of the level begins with sawing a hole in the skin of the aircraft. But the level itself begins from the moment when the terrorist is holding a hostage;
5) We kill him, go into the room and jump into the hole kindly made by our comrades;
6) Press the button on the photo and we rejoice.
All the methods previously described here above do not work.
So I gave up and walked through on my own.
Later I found a video on the pipe, which shows everything I described.
I checked it out of interest - it works!
1. We start on a new recruit, reach the hostage, kill the terrorist, go into the room when the timer starts counting down again, press menu, then save and exit.
2. Select the mission, install the veteran, as soon as the download begins, close the application by holding the PS button.
3. Start the game, select continue in the menu, the game starts with a hatch, after which there is a scene with a hostage, we kill the terrorist, we jump out of the plane.
I got the trophy after looking at the photo and how I got to the main menu. Received the trophy on 03/08/2019.
