How to unlock the The Shot achievement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered - Definitive Guide
However, I found this video on youtube which made this part so much easier.
All credits goes to NZL KNUCKLEZ for the video.
I got attacked by two enemies that came in front of me so be ready for that. But after that you should be safe till the helicopter arrives.
Jezz41 said: Just want to add you can put C4 down before putting Cpt. MacMillan at the spot next to the Ferris wheel. After you put him down it will restock all your C4 so you can use 12 instead of 6.
I stayed in the Shack the whole time til I had to get the hell out of there. one thing I did to kind of help to get out of the shack was that I used a couple of flashbangs. Hope this Helps anyone.
go to time 14:43 to see the shack in action.
I only wanted to add a little input on how I got past the part where you have to pick up McMillan and carry him to the helo. I had zero problems with everything before this (stayed in the left-most shack).
It was carrying him in the last 20 seconds that I simply could not complete. No matter what I did beforehand, I kept dying as soon as I picked him up, as I carried him along, or right as I entered the helo (that last one is heartbreaking).
After picking him up, I simply moved the right stick back and forth from left to right, non-stop, as I walked over to the helo. This makes Price move his field of view left to right over and over, and seemingly makes him take infinite damage. By the end, my entire screen was dark red as I went into the chopper. I had seen this method in a video from a while back, remembered it, and tried it out. I was about to give up, and was open to trying anything out when I attempted this odd method.
Not a complete solution, but just a little advice for anyone that’s stuck like I was in the last frustrating seconds of the level.
I couldn't get this to work in the other shack by the ferris wheel I think you are too exposed there.
I finally got it using this guide though I modified it just a bit. Here's what I did. I just got this after about 3-4 deaths at the very last CP. I also did this with the glitch and yes I didn't quite do it the same. Be sure you pick up a AK47 in the middle of the campaign before or soon after the Capt gets hit with the downed helo. You'll need the AK47 later. Keep your sniper rifle. I put all the Claymores and C4 out all along the walk way coming from the swimming pool building and some along the fence area and mostly out in front where the broke cars were. Then I went and hid behind the Blue car nearest the pool building out on the boarder of the radiation field as seen in this guide. It's ok if you keep behind the blue car. You won't die. There is a small hill in front of the blue car. ALL enemies will funnel thru this hill. Kill any that come over the hill with the AK47. Then, 4 enemy helos will approach. If your behind the blue car from the start, one will come up to the left over you, kill the enemies as they come down the rope. Then, Immediately turn to the right and take out the enemies sliding down the helo up and to the right of the blue car. I died a couple of times as I didn't realized the right helo was dropping enemies. So I got overwhelmed and thus died until I figured this out. Then just sit behind the blue car and kill enemies as they come over or some may come to the left of the small hill. DO NOT stand up for any reason while behind the blue car. There will be a CP here around this area and time frame so be aware of this if you need this CP. So if you die, just restart the last CP. Just keep killing anyone coming over the hill. Right before the friendly helo arrives there will be a couple or 3 enemies come over and 1 dog. Kill them as soon as you see them. If the dog gets behind the car, just move backwards that should give you time to kill the dog with your gun. Your almost there. Keep killing enemies coming over the hill. There maybe one or two grenades however I think if you kill enemies sooner, you may not see any. I didn't. Be sure to reload often when you notice a small lull in no enemies coming over the hill. There will be a few gaps where you can reload. Pause the game if you need to. Helps get your nerves under control. Take a break and try to keep calm. Now once your passed the dog and the helo begins to land, count 10 seconds to allow the friendlies to exit the helo and help you out. This is where I kicked off the last of the C4 I had placed. Do this here. After 10 seconds, start to move right towards the Capt, keeping behind the concrete barricades as you go. As you move throw the left over grenades you have or flashbangs or all, towards the middle or far left section towards the pool building. Then sprint towards the Capt and pick him up after you pass the barricades. After picking him up, I walked towards the back end of the ticket book nearest the farriswheel and went behind the booth as to keep behind for cover. Then moved towards the back end of the helo moving my look stick left to right just in case to help from being hit. I was not hit once when picking up the Captain and after moving to the helo. Went in and dropped the Capt and thru out a few left over flashbangs/grenades I had while the friendlies go on the helo. We took off and boom, 2 achievements popped. I feel this method is a bit easier since there is only one path where enemies come at you. So be quick and get them coming over the hill. Get the two nearest enemy helo drops nearest the blue care your hiding behind. Claymore and C4 placement is still crucial along with timing. IM SOOOOO GLAD THIS MISSION IS NOW OVER!!! Hope this will help those looking to get this

All Ghillied Up:
Nice easy mission, you can remain undetected the whole time (which you need to do anyway for the Ghillies in the Mist trophy). Just follow MacMillan’s orders and stick close to him during the crawling and running sections. Make sure to only kill enemies when no other enemies can see them. Restart the checkpoint if you mess up because that will be quicker than fighting off the waves of enemies that come for you when you’re detected. See Ghillies in the Mist for more tips.
One Shot, One Kill:
This is one of the hardest missions in the game. At the start, when all the enemies start pouring in, the trick is to keep moving. Snipe the few that run across to the left but try and do so without stopping. Then when you reach the bottom just run around to the right toward the building you’re headed for, ignoring all the other enemies.
When carrying MacMillan take the first left and put him down at the far corner of the building. Turn around and kill the enemies behind then clear out the ones ahead. Put him down again at the small set of steps slightly further up and kill the last few enemies that spawn here.
The final section can be a nightmare. First off, remember to lay your 10 claymores down before you put MacMillan in his sniping spot because when you do he’ll give you his claymores and you can only carry 10. You can hide away (which we’ll talk about in a moment) but I found the first section not too bad to do legit. If you lay the claymores in strategic areas such as between fences and cars where enemies will have to bottleneck, and also up near where you entered the level (where the majority of enemies spawn in) then you can stand in the little booth between the Ferris Wheel and Bumper Cars and snipe away. In here you can duck down for cover when you need to.
For the next part though, when the choppers drop off reinforcements, there are several professed “safe spots” you can hide in. None of them are true safe spots as grenades can reach you occasionally. Plus the worst thing about them is that loads of enemies will be left for when you need to run and grab MacMillan and take him to the chopper that comes to collect you. The one that ended up working for me was in the booth on the opposite side to the previous one we mentioned. Standing where MacMillan is and looking at the enemy spawn it’s to the far left. Go prone and back up into the corner but keep watching the door as enemies will occasionally run by. I think the reason it worked is because it’s closer to MacMillan than the other so-called safe spots you may have read about and there aren’t as many enemies on this side of the area. When you grab MacMillan flick your right analog stick right and left as you move with him which seems to help you avoid incoming fire somewhat. Be careful you that you don’t get stuck up against one of your allies while trying to board the chopper, circle around them and get in.

But I found a more convenient place. There is a small booth right next to the karting track, sit in the corner and the grenades won’t harm you, the soldiers also just run past. And when the helicopter arrives, getting to McMillan will not be difficult, the enemies will already be aiming at your allies and will not touch you
