How to unlock the Your Show Sucks achievement in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered - Definitive Guide

Mission: Charlie Don't Surf

You must destroy all TV sets in the mission that are showing the Al-Asad speech. The majority of the TVs can all be found within the same room, but there are a bunch of them that are well hidden before and after this section.

You can find them as follows:
- 2 TVs in the cafeteria
- 2 TVs on the way to the station
- 50+ inside the main building / main room
- 1 in the living space with the windows at the top of the stairs
- 6 TVs in the last recording / set area

Note: There is an additional TV before entering the large room not shown in the video. Thanks to BadgaRok725 for pointing that out, it must have been shot during a firefight and I missed it.

You said 3 TVs on the way to the station, but your video only shows 2. Which one is it? (I'm not the downvote btw smile)

It's 2, my apologies. The video is correct.

You missed one in the room right before the big room. It's facing the server room, so you don't see it when you shoot the other two

Can confirm what BadgaRok725 said, there is 1 TV missing from the guide just before you go into the server room. I had to reload checkpoint and make sure I got that one for the achievement to unlock.

Thanks BadgaRok725 and RossaF1... I had tried twice using Maka's guide and wasn't unlocking the achievement... I thought I was doing something wrong... thanks! :)

This achievement didn't unlock for me right away. It randomly unlocked 15 hours later and my Xbox wasn't even on. I got a notification on my phone.

You know, it's kind of sad when someone that's provided over 1,200 solutions on this website alone (with a high vote ratio), gets shit for missing one TV out of his video. Give the guy a break. A simple click on the comments and a 60 second read tells everyone where the missing TV is. Kudos to BadgaRok725 for pointing it out - which completes another good guide. Thumbs up

Great guide as always Maka! Keep them coming as you have probably singlehandedly added 10K Gamerscore to my ledger laugh BadgaRok725, thanks for the assist.

Pain of an achievement but I did the trick I did on the older version. Even if the TV had been damaged I still shot it, so it registered properly. Achievement popped after the last TV screen had been shot

Here's a hint that helped me just now.
If you shoot the last TV in the recording room and the achievement doesn't pop you might have missed one. This is where the mission ends but if you reload the last checkpoint you will start again at the stairs right after the big fight. Now you can backtrack through the entire map if you have to and double check every TV with all the enemies dead. It turned out I missed the 3rd one in the video but didn't have to replay the mission to get it.

Yeah... Maka is missing one TV in his video, there's 3 before the big room... Won't receive a downvote just because you're Maka!

the one i missed was as you enter the big room with all the tvs, it's the one in the left corner as you enter the room and is hidden, maka actually shows it but it's that quick i must have not noticed it.

A video with descriptive commentary showing all the TV locations that are broadcasting Al-Asad's message in the mission "Charlie Don't Surf".

There are 2 in the first "HQ" building you come across.

There are 2 stragglers before you get to the broadcast building.

There's 2 TVs as soon as you enter the building,
and 3 in the next command center area

In the big room as soon as you enter there's 1 TV basically behind you but will most likely get shot out naturally. Also there are 5 TVs on high desk stands, as well as 6 on lower level desks in the room.

There's 4 big groups of TVs to shoot out as well as 3 TVs sitting on ceiling stands on the backside of the room from where you enter.

Once you regroup with your boys there's 1 TV on a ceiling stand in the first room you pass through.

The last 6 TVs are in the broadcast room that you will have to shoot out before everyone stops talking to end the mission.

Good guide, but I think you missed one. As you head through the server farm (right after the text description says "and 3 in the next command center area") and head into the big room with the walls of many TVs, there is a TV on a lower level desk to your immediate left when you enter the big room. Basically to your immediate left at 2:40 in your video. The screen is facing away from you as you enter, so it's easy to miss. Still a thumbs up from me, though!

This is completed in the fifth mission "Charlie Don't Surf". There are a number of televisions throughout the mission that need to be destroyed. Just follow along with the video and be sure to clear the final room quickly before your squad mates finish talking and the mission automatically ends. This video was recorded on recruit difficulty, as the difficulty level does not affect the achievement / trophy.

Here is a video guide with English commentary for this trophy!

Mission: Charlie Don’t Surf

For this trophy you will need to destroy all the TV’s that are displaying Al-Asad’s speech during the Charlie Don’t Surf mission only. If you see the same TV’s during other missions don’t worry, they aren’t required. Some will get destroyed before you can get to them which is fine, I do recommend shooting them again though just in case.

I’ll list the TV’s that are easy to describe. The ones in the main room of the TV station though will be a bit difficult to explain because there are so many, so I recommend watching the video that I have provided for those. The video covers all of them so watch it from start to finish if you’d find it easier…

Before you reach the TV station...

  • Downstairs in the first building you go into, on the opposite side of the room from where you enter.
  • Again, downstairs in the first building you enter, in the room off to the left that has the AK47 painted on the wall next to the door. Same room as a piece of intel.
  • Before you cross over the slightly raised street head to the right. It’s in the house at the end, upstairs. In the same building as some intel.
  • Now cross that raised street and look for a staircase on one of the buildings on the right. At the top, turn around to spot the TV on a table. Again, right next to some intel.

The first few rooms of the TV station...

  • Up on the wall in the first room when you enter the TV station itself.
  • In this same room turn around and it’s up on the wall to the right of the door you entered through.
  • From the last 2 head down the corridor and take your first right. In this next room up on the wall above the door opposite.
  • In the next room, on a table on the right.
  • When you’re about to exit this room through the door ahead of you turn back to the left and you’ll see it on the desk closest to the door.

The main large room in the TV station...

  • When you enter the large room with all the desks and a load of enemies clear them out then search the room thoroughly or follow the video guide to ensure you’ve found them all. There is one well hidden on the desk to the left as you enter the room and there is one mounted on the wall in one of the offices opposite where you enter. The rest are all on desks, tables, mounted on the wall or set into the walls in groups of 16.

After leaving the main large room...

  • In the next area you’ll climb some stairs and enter a kitchen. Hung on the wall on the left in this kitchen.

In the final room, the broadcast/recording studio (the mission will end in this room so don't take too long)…

  • 1 to the right when you enter.
  • 2 along the wall on your left.
  • 1 in the center of the room.
  • 2 in the little room on the right with the mixing desks.

Here is a YouTube guide that I made.

The level is on Charlie Don’t Surf.

For the part with the TV station in the big room just follow the video since there’s is too many TVs for timestamps at that part.

⬇️ Timestamps ⬇️

0:00 Instructions
0:53 1st Breach
1:25 Outside Part 1
1:52 Outside Part 2
2:19 TV Station Breach
2:49 TV Station Hall

7:09 Stairs TV
7:22 Final Room

Mission: Charlie Don't Surf. Most of these are located in the TV studio where the big shootout occurs.
However, there are some tucked away in places you might not visit. I highly doubt anyone will find all these without a video guide, so here is one (not mine)

You have to hit the TV, even if your commandos or shawarma players have already destroyed it, you stupidly put at least one bullet into every TV you need. The “eclipse” location has nothing to do with this reward, but it’s difficult to pass by the 1st TV, you can break it if you want)

After “shooting” all the TVs, the trophy refused to fall out. As a result, you need to return to the previous mission and break 2 TVs at the beginning, then go through it and the next one, shooting all the boxes, after which the trophy should fall out)

I’ll say right away that I’m not sure, but maybe you need to break the TVs yourself. That is, if you approach the TV and see that one of the bots has already broken it, it is better to shoot at it again.
