How to unlock the Shot Caller achievement in Call of Duty: Vanguard - Definitive Guide
okay after reading and looking at the videos in the other guides i have found a much better way of doing this achievement and at the same time you can do the "not your fairy godmother" achievement for throwing back 15 grenades that would have killed or damaged your allies.
what you want to do is load up the mission "operation tonga" play until you regroup with your squad about 5 minutes into the level at this point you will then start to have the option to give commands. the first one you do is for moving some wood so that your squad can progress. give that command and go through the wood your squad has just lifted for you as soon as the last member of the squad has gone into the next area with you the achievement tracker will update.
you can then if you like restart checkpoint and simply wait for them to come into the next area for the tracker to update again, keep reloading checkpoint until you have the achievement.
if you also want to get the grenade achievement i referred earlier you can in this area just to the right of you after you go through the wooden barricade will be a grenade resupply box. pick up some grenades stand by a teammate and throw a grenade at the ground with RB and then pick it up with RB and throw it away quickly.
you have 4 grenades everytime you resupply so just keep resupplying after you have used all 4 grenades and keep throwing them at the floor by a teammate then throwing them away till you get the achievement. you can keep looking at the achievement tracker to make the grenades are counting.

In operation tonga, when you have the vehicle turret cornered, just get cover and keep ordering the attack on it. Easy.

You will be given the role of Arthur who can issue orders by pushing the on the D-Pad
You will know when there is an order to be issued when it pops up on your HUD as white text, usually to kill a group of enemies, push something or storm an area, theres plenty of opportunities to get this.

When you come to the MG part after the ambush sequence. you have 3 opportunities to command the troops. do both commands restart checkpoint, rinse and repeat till you get the achievement. 5 checkpoint reloads will net you this achievement.
This can be first done during Mission 2: Operation Tonga and Mission 9: The Fourth Reich.
Each of the characters in the campaign will have special abilities. Arthur can give orders to his allies by pressing . However you need to have the opportunity to give orders, like attacking a position or a half track etc. You can't just give random orders at any time so when you see the prompt, press to give your orders, you can farm it on the same prompt or even replaying checkpoint but it's not really necessary as it should come naturally.

You will play as Arthur in Mission 2 and the first portion of Mission 9.
Note: This achievement doesn't track, unlike most other achievements.
The first section of Mission 2 involves regrouping with your allies. As soon as you do so, you'll be able to start issuing them commands for the remainder of the mission. If you look towards enemies, you'll notice cross hairs above them or in their general direction. Aim at the cross hair and you'll get a prompt to press to give a set command.
In Mission 9, while you're playing as Arthur, you'll get many more opportunities to use commands (easily 5-10), and if playing on Veteran you almost unavoidably need to in order to progress past MGs and Jagermorders.
You'll need to do this a cumulative total of 15 times, and while you could potentially grind this out by reloading a checkpoint, I found that there were more than enough opportunities in Mission 2 alone, just during natural progression.
