How to unlock the The Tip Of The Spear achievement in Call of Duty: Vanguard - Definitive Guide

To unlock this achievement, you need to finish all missions on Veteran difficulty. If you play the game start to finish on Veteran, the achievement should pop after you finish the final mission, The Fourth Reich, during the final cutscene.

If you are wondering about how difficult Veteran difficulty is on Vanguard, I will say that it is more difficult than Cold War and Modern Warfare. It's still easier than older CoDs, but much more challenging than the recent entries. I'm not the best gamer and I breezed through the game with little/no problems.

As long as you take your time, take cover, and use a little strategy, you'll be just fine playing through this game on veteran.

Linked below you can find a Veteran playthrough if you guys want.

I struggled quite a bit with one mission on both mw and cold war, what would you say is the hardest mission?

@e9od the beginning of the mission "Lady Nightingale" and the end of "The Battle of El Alamein" were probably the most difficult parts of the game. "Lady Nightingale" throws a few enemies at you with very little cover and "The Battle of El Alamein" is a wave defense moment.

I thought that a player with my skills at this level would have a lot of problems, but I was surprised that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I recommend playing on Veteran. Whether on easy or hard, if you die load a saved game and keep trying 💪😎

Hey Achievement Hunters! I've made a complete guide for the campaign that shows how to get every campaign related achievement in one playthrough. I show the best places to knock out all the achievements and have everything timestamped for ease if there is a particular achievement you are looking to get. You can get all your achievements during your veteran playthrough, but if you are struggling on anything in particular you can always drop the difficulty to come back via mission select.

I hope you find it helpful!

Finish all of the 9 missions on Veteran difficulty to unlock this trophy. Veteran is unlocked from the start and this game is one of the easiest CoD games in term of Veteran playthroughs. Unfortunately there is no exploit to get this trophy, if you play the whole mission on Recruit, then change the difficulty to Veteran before ending the mission, the game will remember that and it'll be said that you finish that certain level on Recruit. Most of the miscellaneous trophies are also easy enough to do them on Veteran without much trouble and if you struggle with some of them focus on finishing the mission and clean up them up on Recruit difficulty later.

On Veteran difficulty you will die very quickly if you stay out of cover so make sure to always take cover and try to kill the enemies on your way from a safe spot. There is no instance in the game where enemies can spot from behind you or stuff like that, the enemies will always be in front of you unless you rush but if you stay with your teammates then you'll be fine. Plus the game is very generous in term of checkpoints, there are a lot of checkpoints even during battle so even if you die you won't have to replay long bits of the game.

In my opinion, this is the easiest Call of Duty campaign on Veteran difficulty out there. So, if you're a fan of the series or have played and completed other campaigns on Veteran, you can jump right in and likely won't have any problems.

However, that being said, there are the usual points to highlight for a Veteran campaign:

  • Stay behind cover at all times. Only move from cover to go to the next bit of cover, and only do it once you've either killed all enemies or you have some sort of distraction (allies, smoke, grenades, etc.).
  • Grenade spam isn't an issue in this game at all. I have never seen more than a single grenade thrown at me at once, and never more than three or so per firefight. So you won't need to worry much about grenades, but when you do see one don't hesitate to throw it back.
  • Hang back as you kill enemies, because you very likely will be given a checkpoint here and there once a certain amount of enemies have been killed. Don't rush forward, potentially skipping over a checkpoint because you continually were engaging enemies.
  • Try to always keep a short/mid range weapon (preferrably an automatic weapon) and a long range weapon (sniper rifle, KAR98K, etc.) to handle any situation you may come upon.
  • The fuse on your own grenades seem to have a massive fuse in this game, so be prepared to cook them longer than usual when you use them.
  • While behind cover, peek out to see where enemies are, quickly get back behind cover, then slowly peek out just enough to see the enemy to shoot him, and repeat to get through firefights.
  • In general, most enemies take multiple shots to kill you, so you don't need to be nearly as conservative as other Call of Duty games when you push up or are confronted with many enemies.
  • Jagermorders are really the only threat in this campaign (the big armored enemies with LMGs that take a lot of bullets to put down). Thankfully, you don't face too many of them in open combat. As with Juggernauts in previous games, aim for the head and stay on the run so they never get too close to you.
That's really all the tips you should need. Play it safe like any difficult FPS game, and with the pretty generous checkpoints you should have no problems making it through all nine campaign missions on Veteran.

As a side note, if you first complete the campaign on a lower difficulty, you can use mission select to replay each individual mission on Veteran to unlock this achievement.

"Veteran" is not difficult, play right away at this difficulty level.

To simplify the passage of the game, it is possible to connect a keyboard with a mouse, which greatly facilitates battles
