How to unlock the I've Got You! achievement in Call of Duty: WWII - Definitive Guide

So what is not stated by other solutions and only obliquely alluded to by the wording of the achievement description is that there are exactly nine allies over the course of the game that require your help in this manner. These are collectibles that make up nine of the game's 23 heroic actions, meaning that despite the game stating "Heroic action performed" every single time you complete one, each heroic action counts exactly once and the achievement cannot be sped up by completing the same heroic action on checkpoint reloads or subsequent playthroughs.

Heroic actions, like mementos, are immediately and permanently collected the moment you get them and are not reset if you die or quit the mission, if the AI you saved dies, etc. Do it once and you never have to bother again.

I will provide a video from PowerPyx to help you get these done since I do not have my own solution for this. A timeline of video links is inside the spoiler.

09:21 in Video. If you miss the second Heroic, you don't need to restart whole missions even when next "checkpoint / Rallly on Person" comes up.Keep teloading last checkpoint every 5-10 secs as that attack randomly comes up again.

If this doesn't unlock for you, and you've ensured you have done all 9, and you've tried redoing them again, you may have to clear your local and cloud save to fully reset campaign progress. Only way for me to fix and unlock certain campaign achievements I should have including this one.

This achievement never unlocked even though I had completed all 9. Nor did friend in need even though I've done that far more than 30 times. I'm currently doing a new game veteran playthrough but if it doesn't unlock it does anyone have some suggestions for a fix?

There will be instances across the missions where one of your allies will be wounded on the ground and you'll need to drag them to safety before they die/get killed. When an event unfolds that triggers an ally to become injured, a red/white marker with a hand on it will appear above them. When you see this marker, you'll need to promptly get to your ally and press to grab them, then move to drag them away from danger behind cover. Some of these instances can easily be missed, as well as others that can be tricky due to being under fire whilst dragging your ally.

The missions that contain these "Heroic Actions" are as follows:

  • 1 in Stronghold
  • 1 in S.O.E.
  • 1 in Liberation
  • 1 in Collateral Damage
  • 2 in Death Factory
  • 1 in Hill 493
  • 1 in Battle of the Bulge
  • 1 in Ambush

Stealing the same thing 9 times won't work. We need to drag these ones in the video.

To keep track of what you've done and what you haven't, the game has feats before selecting a mission. This is what you need there, do everything, these trophies will fall out.
