I did it on veteran this was A good challenge especially when u have to get pass all the guys before the river alley place lol feels good doing most of the difficult ones on veteran

Just completed this on veteran as well. You can use throwing knives, melee knockdown, trap mines, molotov, smoke bombs. The area going to the church is quite hard. I used 3 smoke bombs, one after after to create a path for myself. You'll need more depending where you're hiking it from. Can't stay in one place too long as patrols have unlimited spawns and patrols all paths.

@xxBiGxBaNGXx why should that be considered common sense? A crossbow uses no gun powder. It's not considered a firearm outside of the law lol.

I think also the door that is rigged to a shotgun can void the achievement as I didn't fire any weapon but triggered the shotgun door and it didn't give me the achievement

Set the Shotgun off attempting to crawl under the wire.

Just want to mention that smacking/bunting someone with your pistol does NOT void the achievement. Contrary to the edit above, I smacked the shizz out of a heavy in the sewers and it saved right after. So I continued anyways and when I got to the gate the cheev still popped. That edit had me worried. Great guide my man but I’d take that edit out :)

Completed on Veteran. Tip for the last stretch after the church, take the right hand side path, do not follow Ghost despite him telling you to stay close. It's a clear shot to the truck.

If you are surrounded and keep dying like I was, I found that just always going into the takedown animation will keep you alive even when three others are shooting at you. On Veteran, it was nice when Ghost showed up since he was my distraction. smoke gas is your friend.

Achievement only unlocks when you enter the pickup truck and cutscene starts. This description got me confused, thinking that achievement should unlock when you meet up with Ghost.

The fact that you CANNOT even use the crossbow is so stupid! The Achievement and in the description literally have the weird "gun" in them, despite a crossbow not being considered a gun.

@HamsterLV same man, I got this far on Veteran and nearly gave up trying for the achievement thinking I’d messed up.

The wording makes sense but op can you edit to make it clear that it doesn’t pop until you get into the pickup.

throwing bottles at guys to stun them works quite well, you can go in for a free kill doing so

im not sure if it was just a bug or something but for me using the crossbow WILL void the achievement.

Got this on veteran with alot of trial and error. At the church part ended up hiding in buildings and doing enough melee take downs to make it look like a splinter cell conviction walkthrough. Was being shot as i went to the pickup truck but once it registered i flipped off the tv and called it a miracle. Im mad at myself for doing this on veteran.

This is one of the worst achievements ever because all you want to do at the very end is shoot your way out of the mission. Failed with this achievement devs.

Went through the door, stacked a couple of dead bodies on the floor. My lyrical prowess makes me wanna bang a countess.

This is perfectly doable on Veteran, ive just managed to do this.
Collect and craft plenty of mines and molotovs, use plenty of bottles and make sure to pick up the knife to excute enemy's in melee takedowns.

Youl find the knife around half way through when you see two guards excute a guy infront of a fountain.
Follow the guard and use bottles to distract him and swing in to the door on the left and its on the dead body.

But many just use offensive craftables, bottles and takedowns.

I just completed this on realism, no gun…however I did use the crossbow that I found in the safe in the auto shop and did not get the achievement. If they’re considering a crossbow to be a gun…then they need to reword this to “firearm” and not call it gunless…multiple attempts for this…beyond irritating

Did this first time on veteran. There are a couple of tricky sections, specifically from the garages through the port about 2/3 of the way through and then the last sprint from the church to the car. That last bit was a real bitch, spam smoke grenades and run like hell. Oddly enough I did not have any real trouble reaching the church through the last plaza. I stayed in the rightmost houses and then snuck into the middle through the cars.

RESTARTING FROM CHECKPOINT WORKS (ie you can still get the chevo)
It pops once you get in the truck
If you’re having trouble getting to the truck, run through the farthest RIGHT buildings since you have two hall ways to keep you cover until reaching it

I did it on veteran took ages as the 2nd to last part i was stuck in a building on a save point so had to use molotovs and knife kills to kill them all it took a few goes was annoying. And to top it off at the end to make it to the car with ghost if i died the checkpoint will crash the game and have to restart the game so that was fun doing that 6 times loading up the slow game till i made it i just ran the right side while ghost took the left and camped a building throwing molotovs at anyone that came in the door and it work only had to kill 4 people.

Got on veteran as well... if you shoot your gun accidentally reload to last checkpoint...i did it twice and still got the achievement...

The water section you can avoid the guys by swimming around them

The section just before the church go immediately left after the cut scene door...and get into the first building there on the left side of the street...there is a checkpoint here just before opening that buildings door...this provides you cover and opportunity to kill on your terms avoiding direct fire and funneling the baddies into cq inside the buildings, one molotov can take out several at once...make sure you have 4 each molotovs and mines and smoke bombs...you have to exit and duck back in under fire perhaps toss a smoke grenade onto the the street behind you to cover your advance...you can find materials along the way to craft more of the three...

Once ghost rushes out go back the way you came have a molotov or two ready and duck back in side the buildings reversing the way you came eventually you will run out where the truck is... easy peasy...the ding will occur once pressing x to enter the truck
