How to unlock the MW3 - You Can Pet The Dog achievement in Call of Duty - Definitive Guide
'MW3 - You Can Pet The Dog' is awarded for holding the prompt on a friendly dog whilst they are sat down. To get them to sit down you need them to of not been hostile yet and is best done as soon as you spawn them.
Notes
- This does require a specific type of dog from the dog house and NOT a turned dog via brain rot (this never worked for me).
- You can use any amount of 'chunk of flesh' from 1-4 to spawn a dog in. Personally I got it to work with 1 chunk but it seems more consistent with 4 chunks.
Strategy
- Find and take note of dog houses randomly spawned across the map.
- KIll zombies for 'chunk of flesh' in the mean time.
- Clear the immediate area of zombies around a dog house. Use 1-4 'chunk of flesh' per dog house attempting to get a dog that lets you pet it.
- Both my friend and I had the dog spawn sitting with the hold prompt to pet, so you may need to be quick to pet them before they get up.
- If you run out of dog houses in the low threat zone I recommend exfilling and trying again.
I hope this helps everyone! I take zero credit for the video below and all credit goes to 'CodeNamePizza' on youtube but it should give you the jist of it if you prefer a visual.

Are there any players who like to help with all the Zombie Achievements?! Especially the hardest ones?

I don't think the name is specific. My hellhound was called dribbles or something like that. Achievement popped for squad individually when they petted it.

Step 1: Acquire Chunk of Flesh item drops
The first step is to acquire the Chunk of Flesh item which is a random drop from zombies when you kill them, approximately 1 out of every 100 times. The fastest and most reliable way to boost for these is to call for an exfil and kill zombies at the exfil point; but obviously do not exfil. This should spawn a lot of enemies increasing your chances for the item. The exfil points will become active again after 60 seconds. You can grab as many of these as you want, but 2 of them is a good place to start.
Step 2: Feed Chunk of Flesh to Doghouse map locations
Find a doghouse on the map. The locations are random and change in every game. The fastest way to find them is to grab a vehicle and drive through many Points of Interest and watch for them in the mini-map.
With your chunk of flesh, interact with the doghouse, and give the items to the doghouse. The amount you need to give depends on the zone the dog is in. For Tier 1, it will require 1 chunk of flesh. For tier 2; two are required.
Unfortunately, once the dog spawns, it will always be friendly, but you will not always be allowed to pet it. This seems like it is based off the hellhound's random given name or the amount of enemies in the area when it spawns.
If applicable, the dog will sit in front of you, allowing you and your entire team to interact with it and "pet it", unlocking the achievement.
