How to unlock the Last Man Standing achievement in Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - Definitive Guide

This difficulty is unlocked once you beat the game and it removes EVERYTHING from the HUD, excluding dynamite alerts, thank the gods.

I thought this was actually easier than hard mode. The best advice I can give is that you always carry a rifle on you, since it's easiest to aim accurately with, and only use your dual revolvers in dire situations where accuracy doesn't matter.

The single, most crucial thing you can do though, is make DAMN sure you've got the sawed-off shotguns going into boss fights. Go into concentration as soon as they get up close and just unload. It kills them almost instantly and takes care of the most frustrating part of the game. I tried taking down Sundance with rifles and revolvers my first time through, and it was significantly easier with the sawed-offs.

Oh, and don't be ashamed of just staying in cover until you hear the recharge on the last bullet dodge. It saved me many a time.

Just a hint: If you're using the D-Pad, you will see your weapons and the total amount of ammo that you have for them.
Makes up at least a little for the missing HUD.

I have no idea. I played through on hard first. I don't see why they wouldn't though.

During the boss fight with Henry Plumber, getting him half way down is easy, the second half use dynamite and spread it out to where he'll run to hide. It'll deal a lot of damage and kill his grunts too.

True West difficulty is unlocked after beating the game a single time on Normal or Hard difficulty. The difference between True West and Hard besides the upped difficulty, are the fact that you have 0 HUD accessibility, not even your ammo count is there. It's as if you are a lone ranger out in the world of Call of Juarez. Take your time and do not rush into battles, stay back and pick your shots. The duels can get annoying since your Focus and Speed do not show up, so I'd recommend doing duel mode before trying True West that way you are familiar with your focus and speed and where your hands should be placed. Best of luck!

You will have to complete game at least once on any difficulty before you unlock this. It is the hardest difficulty in the game and although the game itself isn't too hard, the boss fights can be a little tough and frustrating even on Hard difficulty. Make sure to efficiently use your concentration, look out for ammo boxes and do not rush into battles, always keep back and pick your shots. You will reach the end of the game slowly but surely.
