This is not too tough to get since there is nobody shooting at you. However, it does take a bit of time and patience. Your biggest threats here are eagles and long drops. The snakes are easy to spot and kill since they don't move. The eagles can be avoided by crouching and keeping close to the side of the mountain. If you know when they appear, you can just trigger them and back off to easily avoid them. When you get to the nest, watch the eagle's flight pattern and go for the feather when it's flying away from the mountain. On your way down, just take it slow and use your whip to help you down long drops, so that you don't take falling damage. If you do take damage from anything, simply walk off the edge to your death in order to restart from the latest checkpoint, rather than restarting the entire episode.

thank you very much this helped me a lot but i think it glitched on me because i got burnt by the fire ywice and i still got the achivement

I was burnt by the fire 3 times as well but still got it...

I got boned by the eagle at the top. As I was jumping down after getting the feather (or whatever it is at the top) I got hit in the air and the checkpoint saved when I landed. I was too pissed to try again till I do my Very Hard run. Just be very sure you're clear cause it can happen pretty easily.

i just dashboarded after i received damage and got it. dont know if it was necessary just wanted to make sure.

Can confirm what No 1 Richy said as I also burnt myself on the fire and hurt my horse ( jumped off a steep slope while galloping, killed it once lol ) but the achievement still popped. :-) +1

Oh forgot to say I never dashboarded once just killed myself by jumping off if I got hurt by bird or on way down. Just be careful at the last drop as there's a checkpoint there so if you didn't use your whip to go down you'll take damage. You'll be to low to kill yourself anyway.

I just obtained this achievement, and I burnt myself on the camp fire and I also hurt my poor horsey once as well - I suspect it should really say "don't take any damage on the mountain".

All you have to do is finish the level without taking any damage. It's not that hard, since there's no real enemies, but you probably will have to start over a few times. When you're climbing the mountain to the eagle's nest, watch out for the eagle and rattlesnakes. Both of them make a sound when they're about to attack you, so locate them and dodge accordingly. When avoiding the eagle, duck behind a ledge if you can, or jump onto a ledge and hang off it and it'll miss you. Grab the feather when the eagle isn't looking, and make your way back to the camp to get the achievement.

If you take any damage at all, kill yourself or reload and start over from your last checkpoint. Your horse can take damage without affecting the achievement.
