This one will come through normal gameplay eventually, but if you so desire just walk back and forward and enjoy the view until your achievement unlocks

Also if you do feel like grinding it for some reason, you can click in the left stick while running then let go of the stick and your character runs automatically. Saves your thumb going numb.

Even though most people know the distance of a marathon, I thought I would add it here. It is 26.2 miles or about 42.2 km.

@Vandor666's tip is definitely a huge help, pretty well the only thing that makes this and the boat achievement somewhat less of a pain in the butt.

an easy way to knock this out along with another achievement is to walk to all of the Golden Reserve Guided Tour locations by foot. Takes a while but you can't really get around racking up the miles by foot so might as well knock out two at once.
