You can do this on Challenge mode, It's the fatest way because the coin is inserted automatically.

Reloading your save doesn’t count as playing a game. You have to actually start it from the beginning for it to count.

This worked for me. Did it on challenge mode. Let the coin drop in, start the game and then restart game. Rinse and repeat. Thanks!

For a reference of time, I do 145 times in 10 minutes, so probably you will do around this number too

is it 1 single game played 1000 times?
or 1000 times in total - as in you can play multiple games and every time you load a game it counts towards this achievement?

Don't be dumb like me and waste 3 hours loading and resetting the game without actually starting the game itself.

@IamJacksGamerID - It’s 1000 total. I have 990 plays on 1943 using the score challenge restart method, 10 total plays over various games.

I have a turbo capable fight stick so I mapped start game to X, pick score challenge in 1943, and put heavy crap on A and X and went to sleep. About 1 play a minute, and not a significant source for CASPO. My math says the 1000 takes approximately 16 hours but you're sleeping so who cares lol

@Chucklestyle I'm not sure if things have changed but I started this with my Hori Turbo pad and I just need to turbo A, no need to press X. Turbo was a great idea. Thanks!

Playing VULGUS you can insert up to 63 coins and just press A. Change the game settings to one life and the time so very fast. The game does not have a co tinue countdown. As soon as the music stops, press A. Averages about 8-9 games a minute.

Start game

?

Choose Ghosts & Goblins

Change controls to make "insert coin" X instead of R3

Load a coin into the machine while mashing the X button

Get to the intro cut scene in the graveyard and hit start and go to "reset game"

Insert coin again...etc.

Repeat 999 times for a bronze trophy.

Feel special?

There is a tracker in the "Triumphs" screen

There's a faster way:

Select a game (any)

Select Score Challenge

Press X to start (it's faster than the touchpad)

As soon as game starts, press Options button

Select Restart Game

Repeat x999
