Worked perfectly, took me two tries because I must have screwed something up on the first character select but that's on me lol

I made an account for the purpose of commenting on this. I think people who are just achievement hunting and haven't actually played Darkstalkers before don't really get what using the secret character Shadow actually means. Using shadow basically just means that every time you defeat an opponent you play as the character you just defeated. If you see Shadow behind you when you select them from using random you have done the code correctly. Shadow isn't even really a character, it's basically a challenge mode you select by choosing random and then have to play as whatever arbitrary character arcade has you play after that. You're probably getting downvoted because most people don't realize that there is a giant shadow sprite behind the character they pick on random. You have to play the first game before he switches over to the next character and people are likely impatient and didn't see the achievement pop so are downvoting you. Kind of a them problem and not a you problem honestly.

Hey there. Not one of the down voters as this makes sense and I wouldn't have known otherwise. Down votes could be contributed from a variety of things beyond your control. Sometimes people just like to be crappy. Sometimes they don't want others to get their achievements, like if they're hard but an easy way is found. And sometimes it's a minor thing that that doesn't justify a down vote in my opinion. In case it's the later, it may be because you said "start button" and there isn't one. It's dumb and EVERYONE knows what you are talking about.

Tl;Dr - Even the best and most detailed solutions have down votes. Don't let it discourage you. This has helped me.
