How to unlock the Well educated mechanic achievement in Car Mechanic Simulator - Definitive Guide
The quickest way to get this is to examine the same part over and over again.
In order to get to the examining part is as follows:
• You can either do this in sandbox mode or regular mode, its accumalitive.
• ***** This is not achievable by going to barns/auctions/salons/junkyard.
• In order to get to examination mode that count towards this achievement is to have the car in the lift area or entrance area.
• Now what you want to do is to open the hood of the car.
• Highlight the engine with the cursor with the right thumbstick then press A on it.
• Once done press Y to bring up a menu.
• While the menu is up use the left thumbstick to scroll to the Examine Mode (the icon is the magnifying looking glass) then press A on it.
• Sometimes it'll show different colors, mainly a grayish white color (meaning not examined).
• Now in examination mode you can examine the head cover or even a pulley or a belt (whatever you want to choose)
• Choose one with the white dot that's on your screen then press and hold A. It'll show a little progress circle around the button icon. After a second or 2 from holding the button that examined part will turn yellow (meaning it has been examined).
• Now that you have that done just keep the cursor in the same spot and keep pressing and holding A till the progress circle disappears then keep doing it over and over again till you unlock the 3 chievos related to Examine Parts.
There's upgrades in the toolbox (the upgrade shop for the game from leveling up, you gotta choose and unlock which ones you want) that you can make the examining faster so it'll be quicker to get done.
From the calculations I did (with a level 2 of 3 examining upgrade) you'll average 50-60 examines per minute if you get a rhythm down. If you want to knock this out as quickly as possible you can obtain this achievement in 3-4 hours. If broken into days you can do 10% a day, which will take 10-15 minutes per day.
Good luck because some of these chievos are pretty ridiculous in my opinion. This game is really fun and a good time passer. I see this being a pretty high ratio game for a long while.

It's cumulative regardless of game mode or in-game profile

Do the tools (OBD scanner, etc) count as “examining” a part, for the sake of the achievement? Likewise, the “Educated” perks which examine parts when you first receive a vehicle?
