How to unlock the Wrench master achievement in Car Mechanic Simulator - Definitive Guide
**This method no longer works as described. Completely removing the head is now required to add to your bolts removed total, making remounting necessary and doubling the time needed to get this achievement.(discovered by DefEdge)**
This is an extremely grindy achievement, this solution is the most efficient way I've found to unscrew bolts.
Go to the engine stand and create a new engine and select the I4(it's the green one found in Jeep Willys). Buy the I4 C engine block, head and crankshaft as well as 4 pistons with conrods and piston rings. Now mount the block on the engine stand and install the crankshaft and pistons followed by the head.
Now starts the grind. The head for this engine has 15 bolts, **remove and remount over and over for 140+ hours**what you want to do is start removing the head but before removing the final bolt press B thus allowing you to repeat the process without having to remount the head. It you get the timing right you can remove 14 bolts every 7 or so seconds. This will still take up to 70+ hours but it is fastest method I've found.

It appears that today, June 24 2020, they patched the game and made it to where you have to completely unmount the head to get credit for the 15 bolts, effectively doubling the time this achievement is going to take. I stopped and took a break after 180k bolts, came back to a 7.7 gig update, and ground out bolts for another 30 minutes just to notice I was getting no progress. I saved my game, checked my numbers, and was still at 180k bolts. Went back in did a few 14s and tossed a 15 in and remounted, I had +15.
They just doubled the time it's going to take to finish this achievement. There are no words.
Edit: I just sent them a message on Facebook about this, hoping to get an answer. Also, the update caused a new glitch. When you use the search function, like in the store, it crashed the game to the dashboard. Learned that nice nugget of information on Facebook. They fixed this.
Edit 2: I didn't get an answer from them. I didn't think I would, so to heck with them. I don't think they like anyone getting all of the game finished, so this was an edit on the Steam version before we even got it. The solution should be edited, as you can still do this method, but you have to pull the head completely off in order to get credit for 15 bolts, which means that, yes, the achievement will need 70+ hours to get the 500k bolts, but you will spend 70+ hours on top of it remounting the head just to get the next 15 bolts, so expect this achievement to take more than 140 hours alone.

Taking the head on and off while on the engine stand doesn't require the camera or cursor to move, so is a prime candidate for a Cronus Max script. Currently at 90,000 and counting with it running pretty much round the clock for the last 2.5 days. Will take a couple weeks of running 20+ hours a day seems like to finish it. I didn't start this script until I had finished all story missions either. Only had somewhere around 6-8k done though after finishing all 42 of those plus over 250+ other cars (around 300 total).
What a brutal achievement for anyone doing this manually. Also if you are just taking the 15-bolt Jeep head on and off, it's going take a lot longer than 140 hours. More than double that actually. It's around 33 seconds per full cycle of putting the head on and taking it back off. Could maybe optimize to remove 1 or 2 seconds out of there if I really tweaked the script to be absolute razor thin margins. A human is not going to be that efficient for as long as required to do this. So averaging 33 seconds each cycle is pretty optimistic for a human.
*500,000 / 15 bolts = 33,333 times taking the head off (and putting it back on)
*33 seconds each cycle = 1.1 million seconds total
*1.1 million seconds = 18,333 minutes = 305+ hours.
Depending on load times on your console, doing the Viper engine heads, intake manifold, and exhaust manifolds and save reload from Rolodium's solution is probably quite a bit faster. But 1 minute cycles of loading into the game, running over to the engine stand or car (probably best to leave a Viper parked right by the entrance), focusing on all 5 items and removing them all, quitting back to the menu and reloading the save seems near impossible to keep up that pace and be that efficient so I think the 130 hour time quoted might be a bit too generous.

If you happen to have a Series X you can reduce the amount of time this achievement will take (down to around 130 hours instead of 150 hours).
If you follow Diquarks solutions of setting up whichever engine you wish on the engine amount (personally I am using V10 OHV A from the Modern Dodge DLC pack).
You want to setup the engine with as many parts to remove with bolts as you can (in my case I had the intake manifold, 2 engine heads and 2 exhaust manifold for a total of 64 bolts) all attached to the engine.
Then save and exit the game.
Load the game and remove the parts from the engine.
Then exit without saving.
Repeat the two steps above which I was doing in approximately 1 minute per run.
Not for everyone as you will make no other progress towards other achievements but good if you are grinding this specific one.
Note: When exiting without saving, make sure to let the main menu load before pressing A as it defaults to new game and you do not want to loose you saved progress.

FYI: The V10 OHV A/B Dodge Viper engines have 64 bolts on the intake manifold, heads and exhaust manifolds, in case you feel the need to self abuse yourself and actually try to grind out this garbage achievement for a meager 40 gamerscore.
