Let's focus on missions itselfs. These are Agent Training levels and Clearence levels. On first type you'll will get used with controls and mechanics. Second type is most Mater-ing aspect: Races, Battle Races, Attack, Hunter and Survivor. In every normal Battle race try to be first, as game isn't Hard itself.

Disruptor and Arena modes are not present for multiplayer reasons. Three are 4-5 achievements for these two, you'll need 2 controllers.

It shows at least bronze on every chrome mission but on the crests says I have only got 41/42 - have I missed something or has the achievement glitched?

Check, if you did every mission and try to get Gold on it.

I want to confirm, contrary to the guide, that you do NOT need to complete the squad series “championship” races after each clearance level.

For those going for this in 2023, the walkthrough provided for this game is fantastic.

The only thing I will say is you don’t need to play the squad series at the end of each new set of chrome missions.
Simply get a bronze in all of the different races and the achievement is yours, no need to race twice in the same series.

Simply get a bronze medal or better on all the C.H.R.O.M.E. events. This is third place in the races and the lowest possible medal score on the attack / hunter events. You can replay any event immediately if you don't get the medal on your first try or you can come back later via level select. If you are having trouble or don't want too much difficulty, use the unlimited turbo cheat to make getting a bronze easily obtainable. There are the tutorial levels and 6 Clearance Levels to complete. Each tier has 6 events.
