How to unlock the READY, SET, GO! achievement in Cars 2: The Video Game - Definitive Guide

You get a Quick Start by revving the engine at the start of a race and filling all 4 turbo bars - which essentially means tapping RT like crazy. Quite hard to do if you hold the controller normally, a bit easier if you tip the front of the controller up and tap RT with your index finger (or alternate between your index and middle finger).

Or; If you have a controller with turbo, this is the time to use it.

Do this 40 times to get:

Good grief. This was hard enough to get a single time, let alone 40 times?? Ugh!

I'm sorry, I don't have any other advice than what I wrote in the solution. This achievement really is a pain in the ass, but the One controller might make it easier. Maybe you can tweak the "action space" in the controller settings (in the dashboard) or use an Elite Controller (if you have one)

Yeah, it's crazy hard for normal people :) Like I wrote in the solution, I tapped it with both fingers, and some say it's with Mater - but I haven't done all 40 for the other achievement either, it's simply too much bother for me.

Good luck, hope your niece can help :)

What I did was put the controller in between my knees and use two pointers to mash the hell out of RT

Could this possible be easier with an Xbox One controller cause Goddamn I seriously suck at this & if I EVER manage to do it once then there's just no freaking way it's gonna happen 40 fingerbleeding, handhurting times, just NO way & I'm simply to cheap to by a turbo controller for this 1 dumb-as-sh!t achievement roll

Well thanks for answering, I do realize that I'm most likely doing something wrong, I struggle to even get it above the 3rd bar (you need 4 for the perfect start) but guess I'll have to try it on the Xbone (will definitely have to try that tweak thing, no elite though 😟) or let my 10yr old niece try, maybe it's one of those "can only be unlocked by kids" achievement hehe😄

I don't have a turbo or trigger-stop controller, and I was having troubles hitting the trigger quickly enough. I had a controller laying around that needed repair, so I came up with a DIY solution. Tape some magnets to a rod of some sort and run them across the Hall Effect sensor. I was completing my perfect starts while "2" was still on the screen. I recommend shielding your circuit board to prevent metal on metal contact.
