How to unlock the Sun Valley International Raceway achievement in Cars - Definitive Guide

This achievement comes with natural story progression, and is unlocked after doing the Sun Valley race which can be found in the Red Piston Cup marker in Radiator Springs. You need 70 trophy points to participate.

i've got 145 cups points and cant do the races..... i need more info.... what are all the pre requisits???

wow, i managed it to lose 3 times in a row... wtf. xD
but there is a "trick" to make this race very easy.
use the pitstop in round 11, not earlier... after the pit stop, i was 3 seconds ahead... enough time to easily pass the finish line.

Ornament Valley Circuit is a prerequisite.

A couple tricks I used are to use cn_Y (or whatever the two-wheel button is on the default control setup) to stay near the bottom of the track and cut corners as much as you can.

Yeah, no. I've tried both aforementioned tricks for tilting and pitting on lap 11, but no matter what, I'm stuck in the same boat as Wozarnator and getting 3rd and 4th Every. Single. Race.

Surely theres a way to cheese this, cos no matter what I try, I get sandwiched on every turn and by some miracle the racer behind me gets a massive fuck off speed boost and launches past me...

This race is impossible to finish 1st I've tried coming first in this race 20 times and I always come 3rd or 4th, even though I can come 1st every single time on the ps2 version of this game
