Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL

The fight with Aku is Part 3 of the Dexter's Laboratory Theme. Defeat him with Samurai Jack without losing any lives to receive this trophy.

• First Part: Recommended play on Easy as the fight description follows that difficulty. Aku will spawn near you in an attempt to slash at you. Use Jack's / move to slice through him until he disappears.
• Once he's about a third of the way down healthwise, He'll turn into a boar-like animal. Jump onto the platform on the top right and just wait for him to run back and forth twice. When he runs to the left the 2nd time, Deedee will catch and hold him for you. I used just plain  here, no directions. After Deedee lets go, Aku will spawn again. Repeat the fight before and get him down to about 1 third HP. He will then turn into a bird-like creature. If you don't see him at first, you will hear him whoosh over your head. After he does, jump on the platform on the top right. He will then fly under you. Once he does, jump back down after which he will fly over you again. Jump back up on the platform and Deedee will join you again to catch and hold him. Beat him with  when she does. She will let go and you will once again fight Aku (if you didn't finish him already). Fight him like before until his health is gone.
• Second part: Deedee will be giving you explosives to throw at giant Aku who in the meantime is throwing fireballs and bats at you. If you get too close to him, he will fire a wall of flames that will bring you closer to him and most likely off the edge. Pick up the explosives with  and throw them with the same button. Wait for him to either throw a fireball or release the bats to attack. If you jump right before he attacks, he will follow and attack above you, leaving the bottom open to throw the explosive. You can throw the explosive from far back and have it bounce into him.
• When you hit him, his head will land on either the bottom or the top platform. Run over and attack him. I used plain  again here because it hit decent enough and without any direction button, he stands in one spot and attacks Aku. When he lifts his head back up, hit  to go back to the explosives quickly (and get out of the way!)
• Rinse and repeat!
• If you try to get too many hits on the head in, and he comes back, he'll try and slap you with his head which will send you flying. The  attack only approach is a little slow, but it gets the job done.
• When he gets low enough, a yellow "!" will appear where Deedee is releasing the explosives. Stand next to it and hit  to start the final cutscene. If you did not die during the fight, the trophy will pop.
