How to unlock the Receding Heir Line achievement in Castle Invasion: Throne Out - Definitive Guide

This is for beating the final level, level 50.

This level consists of a boss battle against the enemy king. The battle (much like many of the boss battles in this game) consist of a few "waves" of patterns.

The first wave is the start of the level when he's being carried by two large knights. Use your spear to defeat both knights and he'll drop to the ground & transform into a robot throne.

The second wave consists of him putting up a leg at which he slowly starts to hop towards your castle. Hit the outstretched leg as quickly as possible to make him retreat. I found the crossbow to be the best here. This repeats a few times, and then it moves to the next wave.

The next stage he starts shooting crossbow bolts from the top of his throne. Shoot down the bolts and focus your fire on him as much as you can. Again, crossbow is the way to go here.

The next stage he starts rolling small bombs from the bottom of his throne towards your castle. Again, shoot them before they hit you and otherwise try to focus your fire on him. He eventually will jump up, and land back down with his back towards you. At this point focus your fire on him entirely. Crossbow, crossbow, crossbow.

Then the rest of the level is that pattern combined: he'll start alternating crossbow bolts and bombs, then jump in the air & land with his back to you, you hit him as much as you can, and then rinse & repeat until he's defeated. What weapon you ask? Why crossbow of course.

A video (not mine) is given below. It was done on the PS4, but the idea is the same.

The crossbow does next to no damage. Takes too long. Slingshot is key to this boss fight if you want three stars.

First phase: alternate between spear (for the knights) and crossbow (for the minions and the "drumstick")

Second phase: arrow for minions (especially the hogs) and boss (it works)

Third and Fourth phases (when he begins shooting arrows at you) : crossbow to shoot down the arrows and subsequent bombs. When he jumps and turns his back, unleash slingshot. The slingshot takes out a huge chunk of health from him.

I did it with about 90% health and 30 seconds on the clock.

I had to use the slingshot on the king in order to get 3 stars. It does better damage than the crossbow.

The King is the final boss of the game in level 50. The battle begins with him being carried around the screen by 2 large armored knights. Use your spear to attack the knights to defeat them while using the crossbow and/or slingshot taking out the normal enemies that appear on the screen during it. Once they are both defeated, the king will transform his throne into a robot throne which he moves around and attacks from. His first attack consists of him holding up one foot and jumping towards the castle, eventually damaging it if he reaches it. In order to stop him, you must shoot him in the foot that is being held up a few times until he drops it and moves backwards. He will keep doing that same attack while calling in normal enemies to assist until you've dealt enough damage to him. One you have, he will then begin firing crossbow arrows from the top of his throne while moving around. Just keep attacking him while also knocking down the arrows before they reach the castle.

After a little bit he will jump in the air and land with his back to you which is your cue to just start unloading as fast as you can on him. He will then jump in the air again and land facing, but this time he will start firing bombs from the the bottom of his throne at you. Just destroy them while attacking him and after a bit he will jump and repeat the previous steps. When you get him down to about 30% health or so, he will do his jumps, but when he faces you he will fire both crossbow arrows from the top and bombs from the bottom of this throne, so you will need to move quickly back and forth destroying those while also attacking him. I would suggest using the crossbow for these last parts of the fight as it makes it easier to destroy the bombs/arrows while still being able to attack him as well. Just keep following that pattern until he is defeated, finishing the invasion and giving you the trophy.

The King is the last boss in the game and appears on level 50. This fight will consist of several stages. During the first stage, he will be carried on his throne by two knights. Use your spear to kill the knights and knock him down. He will transform into a robotic throne spider...thing.

In the second stage he will lift one arm and hop around. Using your crossbow, attack the raised foot until he retreats. Repeat this a few times. Eventually he will start shooting crossbow bolts from the top of his throne. Shoot those down before they make it to your castle.

In the next stage he will start shooting bombs at you from the bottom of his throne. Take those out with your crossbow, and he will turn around exposing his vulnerable back. Continue to shoot him in the back with your crossbow as usual. The fight will continue and he may mix his attacks around but you should have him figured out by now. With a fully upgraded crossbow, he shouldn’t be too much trouble.
