How to unlock the 666 kills achievement in Castle of no Escape 2 - Definitive Guide

If the achiecement says "666 kills - Exactly this" than you need to literally kill 666. From what I can tell it must be in one run, it does not count over multiple runs. (Thanks @Dingus McKah)

Here is what I did:
1. Use the Ritual code for the Huntress:
cn_upcn_downcn_backcn_backcn_backcn_Xcn_Bcn_backcn_Acn_upcn_Bcn_upcn_A (credit to sCoRpTanK)
2. Go to left room and defeat the enemies. You need to hold cn_A to charge up the attack (arrow).
3. Go down to the next room where you should find 7-8 green goblins. Kill all except for the last one.
4. Go up and down again to respawn the green goblins and repeat step 3 again.

As long as you leave only 1 green goblin back the room should respawn the group. You can use the coins as an approximated counter since each goblin gives 1 gold coin. If you collected some upgrade emblems you can go to rooms left and down to find an anvil where you can upgrade your speed, defense and skill.

Great guide! I ended up clearing a room and going back and forth, leading the Ox Men to me. Took about 45min and I also ended up unlocking the Reincarnated Millionaire (Collect 10,000 gold) and Phantom Gold (Allow the phantom to steal 10,000 gold) while doing this achievement.

One run? That can't be. I can barely get 20 kills before I die.

@TheAnonymity: It might have changed since I wrote the guide (the publisher
"Xitilon" is known for changing achievement requirements and game difficult in his games), but if I remember correctly I had to do it in one run.

If the steps still work as described in my guide then the "ritual code" would spawn you in the correct spot as the Huntress character with some of the loot already equipped. The steps that I described would exploit the game's mechanics where a group of "low-level" enemies would respawn in a room if you leave 1-2 enemies alive once you re-enter the room. The enemies drop gold coins and sometimes upgrade emblems. The emblems can be used a few rooms further to increase the character's speed, defense and skill level.

While this process is a bit time-consuming at least it's easier than trying to kill 666 enemies in a regular run.

Thanks mo0ohammed19988! I think when I played the game it used to be in one sitting when it initially launched, but all these Xitilon published games were updated multiple times and most likely the requirement changed. Thanks for confirming this.

I got it during one of my playthroughs so it didn't have to be done in 1 playthrough for me

I can confirm as of march 2024 it's cumulative achievement, i got it after multiple playthroughs and it's unlocked immediately whan i got the last kill i need without finishing the playthrough. but i am not sure wether it's need to be done in one sitting or not(one sitting means without quiting the game).

This achievement is cumulative across all playthroughs of the game, whether successful or not. Unfortunately, there is no way to track your kills, either ingame or via achievement tracking. This will likely be one of your last, if not the last, achievement in this game, depending on how long others take.

Before worrying about this achievement, definitely complete all other achievements. In particular, the strategy for unlocking both Phantom gold (50G) and Reincarnated millionaire (50G) involve killing many enemies, so you will make a lot of progress towards this achievement from just those two achievements. You will likely end up killing enemies here and there during other runs, but since there's no real need to for most of the achievements, you likely won't make much more progress towards this achievement, leaving you with grinding it out when you're done.

The easiest way to grind it out is to use one of the Ritual codes in the character specific achievements below. My preference was the Bandit, but use whichever character you prefer. There is some randomness to each playthrough even when using the same Ritual code, but basically load into the game after entering the code and look around nearby rooms. Your goal is to ideally find a room with many enemies, preferably the small green goblins that die in one hit. You're going to enter that room, kill all enemies but one, then exit the room. As long as you leave at least one enemy alive, all enemies will respawn when you reenter the room. Go back in, and repeat over and over until this achievement unlocks.

My experience with this achievement was needing only around 10-15 minutes of grinding after I'd done everything else, but your mileage will obviously vary quite a bit depending on how many enemies you killed in other runs.
