Story related, can't be missed.
This is the boss at the end of the second level, and is the first enemy to offer any type of challenge - however he is easy.
He has three attacks. First is firing three projectiles at you. First one in the middle, then high and low. His second is a charge attack, and the third is a prolonged fire breath attack.
Use the three small platforms behind where you start to dodge these, go down and fire at him for like 5-10 seconds, then retreat to dodge, jumping back down to within hit range. Rinse and repeat until he is down.
You will unlock the achievement after collecting the gemstone he drops.
