The first Troll you see is in the mission 'Defending the Crown'.
thankfully you do not need to do all the damage with your hero.
When it arrives pelt it with arrows until it gets to low health. Then press (Y) and summon your Hero. Since you have lowered it's health you can kill it in a few hits.
