Simply upgrade any of your equipment items to level 10.
The prices of these vary and increase with each upgrade so it's hard to recommend the cheapest route although the "Pantry" room starts out quite cheap.
The biggest challenge to this will be amassing funds but there is a quick way to boost them. First work your way through the game to the 6th section "Ore Mine" and it's 5th level "Frenzy Battle!". You'll now be playing this level to accumulate gold very quickly.
By this point you will have unlocked the "Tri-Stone" projectile and the "Treasury" room. Make sure both of these are active, start the level, select "Tri-Stone", aim in the general direction of the enemy castle and just spam the A button.
Within around 30 seconds you'll have finished the level and accumulated a good few thousand in gold. Rinse and repeat.
You can further improve on this by upgrading both the "Tri-Stone" and "Treasury" abilities. The former will allow you to finish the level more quickly, the latter will bring in more gold. Fully upgraded you should be getting around 6,500 in 15-20 seconds.

Upgrade whatever you like until you reach the level Frenzy Battle! You can use this level to grind some coins. Max out any troop, weapon, spell or room to level 10 for the trophy. If you are aiming for all stars in the game you will end up needing to max out a lot of these anyway.
