How to unlock the Ending of Dissonance achievement in Castlevania Advance Collection - Definitive Guide

This achievement is for getting the "good" ending in harmony of Dissonance. This guide will contain heavy spoilers, I recommend just beating the game once to experience it since you can come back to your last save and continue after getting the other ending.

There are several steps needed to unlock this achievement. To summarize, you need to collect all 6 of Dracula's relics in order to unlock the final boss room of Castle B. During the final fight with Dracula-possessed Maxim you need to have both the "MK's Bracelet" and "JB's Bracelet" equipped when you land the finishing blow to Maxim. This will force Dracula's spirit out of Maxim allowing you to fight and defeat him.

So now on to acquiring all the items you will need. I will try and go in the order you would obtain these in a somewhat normal playthrough, but keep in mind this game is quite open. I will also drop in this fantastic map from gamefaqs I used on things I had forgotten in the decade or so since I last played this, in case you would rather just go off of this instead of me.

Also keep in mind that if you have the "Collection Gadget" from the cn_LT options menu turned on (which it is by default) the right part of your screen margin will you show you the relics that you have already collected in the area, and the ones you still need will be represented with a question mark.

JB's Bracelet: This item is equipped by default when you begin the game and is impossible to get rid of

MK's Bracelet: You obtain this item from Maxim when you speak to him in the Sky Walkway in Castle A. It is the Castle A version of the room in which you fight Shadow in Castle B.

Heart of Vlad: You must first obtain the Crushing Stone whip upgrade, which is located in the Sky Walkway area of Castle B. From there go to the nearby save room and use the item to break the wall to the right. The heart is located inside the room, easy enough.

Vlad's Ring: Located in the marble corridor early in the game in Castle A you may notice this one very early on. You need to come back once you have obtained the Sylph Feather (double jump) which you need to progress anyways.

Nail of Vlad: In the Aqueduct of Dragons, where you fight the Giant Merman in Castle A you will find a giant wall that seemingly block your progress. Simply double jump up onto and walk along the hidden ledge in order to get the nail

Fang of Vlad: You will at some point notice that the very far right of the map in the clocktower has a seemingly unbreakable wall in Castle A. Head to that room in Castle B and lure the giant Bronze Guarder enemy all the way to the left then stand on the button to smack him into the wall, which breaks down the wall in both Castles. Back in Castle A head down the newly opened shaft and into the ball puzzle room. Once you get to the part of the room where the spikes are, turn to the left and slide underneath a hidden passage, then drop down and enter the room on the left. This is where the fang is located.
***The Fang is the hardest artifact to describe (and probably overall) so here is a YouTube video that will somewhat show you the process. Note at about the 4:08 mark of the video is where you will need to slide to the left, unfortunately it doesn't seem like a complete video exists as of the writing of this guide.

Rib of Vlad: Easiest one of the bunch really, just requires the Crush Boots. After obtaining the Griffin's Wing you can find the Crush boots in the Wailing Way area of Castle B. Once they have been obtained simply return to the Castle Entrance in Castle B, use high jump with the Crush Boots to destroy the barrier and collect the rib.

Eye of Vlad: Use the Griffin's Wing (high jump) to jump up in the Chapel of Dissonance in Castle A. It is the big room where you have to use MK's Bracelet to unlock the golden door. The eye is located in the leftmost tower. Griffin's Wing is unlocked after defeating Death.

One last bit of cleanup with the Crush Boots is to destroy the eye locking the door to the final battle. It is located just a few rooms above where you obtain the eye.

Once all of that has been done simply head to the final chamber in Castle B to take on Maxim. You don't have to have the 2 bracelets on at the start of the fight, but I'd recommend it just so you don't accidentally kill him. Make sure to either buy an absurd amount of health potions (because what else are you doing with that cash) to tank hits or use and abuse the rewind feature for the final fight, it can be somewhat tough if you are unprepared for it, but with save states and rewind anyone should be able to defeat the bosses without really any tips at all.

I'd also like to point out that Maxim and the second form of the Dracula Wraith are made wicked easy with the knife and Wind Spellbook equipped. You don't take any damage while you're throwing a barrage of daggers downwind at the boss. It's a tactic I used back when I used to play it on GBA to cheese my way through the final boss.

This achievement should also be tagged as missable since it is related to getting the best ending.

I don't believe it's missable, even if you get one of the other endings you can just reload your last save and finish off the rest of the stuff you need to do
