How to unlock the Heir of the Belmont clan achievement in Castlevania Anniversary Collection - Definitive Guide

I do need to point out this achievement is glitched. Here's what I recommend doing just in case it happens to you. Make sure you have save states in every game about to defeat the final boss. You have to beat them all in any order to get this achievement. Personally I started with Castlevania to Kid Dracula after my Castlevania run. Just like most achievements, wait a little bit during the endings before going to the next game. This method makes getting the biggest achievement a lot easier.

Thanks this helped. I started going back through the final bosses in order and it finally popped after beating Belmont's Revenge again Not sure if it's something with that particular game, or just random.

I found that entering the LT menu after beating a given game triggered the word "saving" to appear briefly, perhaps this is the game recognising that you've completed it. I wonder if the achievement didn't pop for people that turned their consoles off straight away after finishing some of the games...

Mime was to finish Simon's Quest again. Guess it's random!

Finished all games. Got the achievement.
Like The Referend JC posted, let some of the credit play and press LT. It will say it saves and not to turn off the game.
Also: I did not play the games as other characters. (other characters as in "finish Castlevania III as Alucard or Sypha")
Which might (MIGHT) be a reason the game glitches.

I thought I was going to have trouble getting this one, but it popped after beating Bloodlines with Lecarde (I had already beaten it with John Morris) for that achievement, so that might not be a bad place to start for anyone that hasn't had it pop.

What I recommend is do em again but wait through the ending credits.

THANK YOU for the advice! This was a frustrating hunt to figure out, I had to redo Simon’s Quest to get this.

This also didn't pop for me despite getting all other achievements first. My final game I played through was Super Castlevania IV. Thank god I had saves right at the end of most of the games so the idea of just going back to beat the last portion of the final bosses wasn't too bad.
In the end I started going through them in order but only had to re-finish the original Castlevania and Simon's Quest before the achievement popped.
So no idea what causes this problem but it's absolutely important to keep a save right near the end of each game to make it a relatively easy fix.

Just a quick note:

Never quit a game after the achievement for the game pop up. Look through the final "cutscenes" and it will normally unlock after you beat the last game at least once (doesn´t matter multiple playthroughs with different characters). If it doesn´t pop do as OmegaJack mentioned above, start replaying boss fights from your saves.

It's definitely glitched. I replayed the last boss for each game and it unlocked as soon as I killed Dracula in Belmont's Revenge even though I remember sitting through all the credits.

(GLITCHED)

You will earn this trophy after beating all 8 games included in the collection at least once.

That includes:

  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II Simon’s Quest
  • Castlevania III Dracula’s Curse
  • Super Castlevania IV
  • Castlevania Adventure
  • Castlevania II Belmont’s Revenge
  • Castlevania Bloodlines
  • Kid Dracula

Some players have reported this trophy glitching on them, despite beating every game. It’s best to backup save files for each game just before defeating the last bosses to be safe. Re-beating the games seemed to make the trophy pop. Note that each game in the collection has a unique quick save so as long as you quick save at the final bosses and do not overwrite them, you don’t have to replay anything from scratch.

I got all the trophies, but this one still didn’t appear. I started clicking through all the games from the last saves. He only dropped out when he completed each one in one sitting. Either it’s so buggy for me, or its conditions are the same.

There were no such problems with the Castlevania Connoisseur trophy. There was no need to play every game in one sitting.
