How to unlock the Dungeon Master achievement in Cat Quest II - Definitive Guide
This is not too hard to get but there are three dungeons that can be troublesome. two of them, the cave of leonis and the tomb of the wolf won't unlock until you have beaten the last boss. the third is the lonely cave.
The first two caves are level 150 and it is a rematch against the two previous boss's with some add-ons. The best advice for them is to use the black hole spell and kite the enemies. don't get greedy with the attacks and you will come out on top.
the last dungeon is the lonely cave and it is level 200 with a single hedgehog enemy. the enemy is quick and has multiple spells that can one shot you pretty easily. again, the black hole is your friend in this fight.
i was level 112 when i finished all three fights so don't sweat level too much but to make things even easier, i would upgrade the black hole spell as best you can to make it more effective at holding the enemies in place.

Your final comment about having to replay the entire game is incorrect. I completed the final mission, but can still go back and load the original save, which puts me right before I did the epilogue.

Clearing a dungeon requires, at the least, for the player to open every chest in the dungeon (and maybe defeat major bosses in each dungeon, but those bosses usually are guarding chests anyway). Some dungeons have chests down hidden paths that need to be opened as well.
Dungeons are divided into two categories: caves and ruins. Caves are generally paths with monsters and traps. Sometimes they will have bosses in them at the end of the cave. Some chests won't be able to be opened until the bosses are defeated, if not all of the cave's monsters as well. Ruins generally have one chest, and a tablet to start a wave of battles. There are usually three waves of battles that need to be completed before the chest unlocks, with each wave scaling in difficulty. Players are blocked from leaving the ruin until all waves are defeated.
If the player hasn't enterred a dungeon, it will have a question mark above it in the overworld and on the map. Dungeons where some progress has been made but the dungeon hasn't been completed will have a half-filled diamond above them. When all of the requirements of each dungeon are fulfilled, a message will appear on screen while the player is still in the dungeon stating that it has been completed. There won't be any icon on completed dungeons on the map or in the overworld.
I completed most dungeons during normal gameplay, as quests and sidequests require the player to enter most of them. I had to hunt for a few of them, which were largely visible by looking at the game's map. Some dungeons are on islands off the main two continents. Overall, I found 72/73 on my own. Players can see how many dungeons they have completed in an infobox on the map screen.
To find the last dungeon, I entrusted the wonderful resource that TenOunceCan created and linked on Reddit (https://old.reddit.com/r/CatQuest/comments/ix3wri/cq1_and_2_...). I tried to use TenOunceCan's map and spreadsheet to look up each dungeon on the map view, but I still couldn't find the last dungeon. I ultimately traveled to each individual dungeon to verify it was complete and crossed it off the list. Doing this helped me find the last dungeon (Mountain Cave), which I had completely missed while playing because it was somewhat hidden among trees.
