You can track how many pieces of equipment are required for this achievement in the equipment menu. Most of the equipment will come automatically from searching every chest inside the dungeons and on the world map, though there are a few that you may be missing toward the end, specifically the hidden equipment outside the border of the map which you can read about HERE, and then some of the trinkets can be tricky to obtain because they are either dropped from enemies or require optional actions. I still needed the a drop from the fire enemies on the final island, the bird poop, and the weird mushroom from the Infinity dungeon personally.
