How to unlock the Dreams Come True achievement in Catherine - Definitive Guide

This is intended to be a non-spoiler guide. The first thing to know is that on subsequent playthroughs, on any stage you got a gold prize, you can now simply pause and skip the puzzle. That means get this first.

Golds on all stages means you can skip through and rush to the end. This achievement can be obtained with two and a half playthroughs, saving at the right time.

When you get to stage nine, The Empireo, you'll be asked freedom questions. The answer for 9-1 doesn't matter. Each ending listed below will have three options that you need to pick for 9-2, 9-3, and 9-4 in order to get it. Also, you can get Whatever, Buddy on either of the two major playthroughs, so they'll be listed on both.

1) Law Playthrough
Answer only lawfully, your goal is to max out the right side of the chaos/law meter. Save on the fifth night at the bar!

1.5) Neutral Playthrough
Reload the save I mentioned earlier. As your meter should now be maxed to one side, now answer oppositely to move it back towards the center. There's a bit of wiggle room here, so don't worry if it isn't perfectly centered.

2) Chaos Playthrough
Answer only chaotic, your goal is to max out the left side of the chaos/law meter. If you did not get Whatever, Buddy, save on the fifth night at the bar!

It's been a while since I've picked the game up, but I was under the impression you couldn't get achievements on easy.

Finally went back and did this.
I replayed all 8 endings on normal instead of easy.
The last 1 was the neutral ending and it popped.
No idea if it was cause I did them on easy cause I got all the achievements except this, or if somehow the game didn't count this ending.

Capta1n0bvious3, I have a similar issue with this cheev not popping either, and I played through on Normal. However, I was foolish and saved some of my games on my HDD and 2 or 3 other endings on the cloud. I believe this is why the achievement didn't unlock. I believe that all the saves need to track to the same device. I am currently attempting to do the Empireo again to get each ending saving only through the HDD on NORMAL.

Got all the ending but it didn't pop. This may be due to my HDD corrupting a while back and deleting my first four saves?

I found this out though.

"Please note that each ending you view saves your progress externally once you hit 'Okay' on the final black screen (that display 'Fin' on a true ending). If you skip this step, it will not register that you've viewed that ending, so make sure you always let the game finish and show the title screen again. You can still 'Skip' the credits and movies and get credit."

I'm one more in the glitched list, didn't unlock for me even tho I have all 8 endings, I guess I need to go through each one of those again and see if it finally unlocks

Did all the endings, no achievement. WTF? Got all the other achievements for the endings.
I couldn't find anywhere where it said this was glitched.
If I figure it out I'll post it.
It should have worked, no idea why it didn't.
Still gave you +1 cause I used your comments to get the other endings.
Oh and if you do this on easy getting all gold, you can skip the puzzles in subsequent run throughs. You don't need to do it on medium or hard in order to skip them.

This achievement requires a completion of the game multiple times, to see each of the 8 endings 3 full playthroughs are needed. One playthrough with the karma meter all the way to Law, one with it to Chaos, and one with it in the middle. During the last Stage, there are four confessional questions that influence what ending you get, together with the karma meter. You can make one save at the beginning of Stage 9-1 to get 1 to 3 endings in one playthrough by loading up the save and choosing different answers than you did before. See each of the Endings achievements for details.

There are 8 possible endings to the game and once you reaching the last ending left on your list this will unlock. Three endings are possible on each end of the karma meter, for ‘Law’ and ‘Chaos’ and one for Neutral. So if you were mostly ‘Law’ you can unlock three endings in the same-playthrough by ensuring you make a save state at the beginning of stage 9-2.

In Stage 9, the final stage, you will ultimate go through four questions while seated in the confessional. Each answer will help decide which ending path you will get in that end of your karma meter.

A fast way to clean-up and get all endings is once you complete the game, clean-up your remaining puzzles with gold prizes. When you start a new game, you will be able to go through the golden playhouse mode and be able to “skip” any stage you have a gold prize in. This will save time and several full-playthroughs, and allow you to also help with other trophies.

The game has 3 main scenarios for plot development (support one girl, the other, or mock both equally). While answering questions and texting, Vincent’s “karma” changes, which has a direct impact on possible endings - it does not directly determine them, but narrows down the possible options.

The actual ending depends on the answers to questions during the 9th night. It is described in detail exactly how to answer here (there is also a more detailed version with spoilers )

In one playthrough you can get an average of 3-4 endings - a good and (maybe) true ending for the girl towards whom the “karma meter” is leaning, a bad ending for another girl, and freedom. In order to get the true ending, the karma meter must be at maximum at the end, otherwise it will just be good and you will have to replay it again. To obtain the true freedom ending, neutral "karma" is required. Thus, the minimum number of playthroughs for this trophy is three.

After each playthrough, be sure to wait for the credits to end (or skip) and press the Ok button to get to the main menu - otherwise the game may give a trophy, but not count it toward getting all the endings.

In terms of “passing”, it makes sense to classify endings not according to the principles of good and bad, but according to karma. It makes sense to hunt only for three endings (true):

1. Catherine True (Max Chaos)
2. Katherine True (Max Law)
3. Freedom True (Middle)

It is these endings that define the three playthroughs. Having received the Max Chaos ending, for example, you can get the Heavily Chaos endings by re-answering the questions on the 9th night. In the opposite direction, I think it is not true.

You can receive it in the following blocks:

1. Catherine True (Max Chaos)
1.1. Catherine Good (Heavily Chaos)
1.2. Katherine Bad (Heavily Chaos)

2. Katherine True (Max Law)
2.1. Katherine Good (Heavily Law)
2.2. Catherine Bad (Heavily Law)

3. Freedom True (Middle)

Freedom Good (Heavily Either) can be stuffed like in 1.3. and in 2.3. Either means either: Chaos or Law.

A picture explaining how karma values are located on the karma meter (taken from the guidebook ) (I a little doubt its correctness. Firstly, there are empty spaces. But there should be some kind of ending if you get into this mess xD. In- secondly, karmas from Heavily must overlap karmas from Max).

[Not found how to answer email on the phone]. We act intuitively or do not respond at all

After getting all the endings, I had the following algorithm in my head:

1) We go through the game without particularly bothering with trophies, but at the same time we decide in favor of one of the girls in order to get her true ending. I recommend Cathrine True (I liked it the most xD). The last few nights we have been making saves on different slots in case we fail to get maximum karma towards the chosen girl. Having received the desired ending, we make a save, which we will return to later.

2) We start a new game on HARD, and as soon as we get into the bar we start knocking out gold prizes at each level (from the phone menu). This is necessary, firstly, for The Golden Child trophy, and secondly, to skip gameplay levels.

3) We return to the old save and get the remaining endings with the karma that we went through the first time. In this case, the gameplay can be skipped.

4) We start a new game and go through with the opposite karma. We get three endings depending on it. The passage will take a couple of hours, skipping the gameplay. Don't forget about the ending of Freedom Good (Heavily Either) in this or the previous paragraph.

5) We go through the game with neutral karma to get the remaining Freedom True (Middle). I advise you to combine this walkthrough with the Everyday Hero ( Responses to Cathrine Wikia ) and Text Junkie trophies (we respond positively to both girls so that they continue to write to you).

NOTE 1: Last night's answers do not affect karma in any way. The necessary karma must be received in advance.

NOTE 2: Save often in different slots (16 available). Perhaps some save will save you at the right time

NOTE 3: Everything written is relevant for the American version. I haven’t tested it in European or Japanese.
