Note: If you appear to be stuck in the room after the ghost fight, what worked for me was to attempt to use the left door using the D-Pad (despite the analog stick working for every other transition in the game, it doesn't appear to work on the doors in this room). Then I could re-enter and finally go through the door on the right.

According to a post by the developer on the Steam forums for the game, this is a console-specific bug that should be patched out soon.
