I found a way to completely stop the game from freezing, and not track your progress. Tried this multiple times and once I started this method my game ran into zero issues. Enter the code at the pause menu for every level as people have stated in other solutions (Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Right, Left, Left, Right, X) and select Complete Level. Unpause the game and you will be brought to the "Win Screen"
BUT, DO NOT HIT A TO MOVE ONTO THE NEXT LEVEL. Press the menu button. This will bring you back to the level select screen. Then just hit A to start the next level. Yes there is a little more time in between levels but I had my progress save every time without any issues. If you do hit A and move onto the next level by accident, dashboard and quit the game and restart. You will only lose progress for that level at most. If you try to continue forward your progress will most likely glitch out.
Trying the other methods listed, going straight from level to level, I completed the game 3 times and most of my achievements didn't unlock. As soon as I switched to this method, I got all achievements my next playthrough.
Note: If you hit unlock all levels, dashboard and close out the game and start it back up. Otherwise your progress will most likely freeze and you will start having issues again. Also to be safe, neve hit the dashboard button, most likely your game will freeze and you will have to restart it.

This seems to work! Just make sure the glitch hasn't already started up, or you'll still need to reset for progress to get tracked aagain. Also you still need to go a bit slow - but this speeds up the glitch cutoff by a lot.

Here is my 100% Achievement guide.
This game can be done in less than an hour with the use of cheats BUT be warned, some achievements can be glitchy and stop tracking at all, forcing you to quit out.
Still easy to complete but following the video I give you hints and tips to try and avoid as much glitching and having to Close the game as possible.
(There's always a way around stuff right?)

It will automatically Collect All Stars and Save All Friends. They magnetize towards you after you input the cheat code. After it collects all stars and friends, then the level will end!

**Personally, I had to force close my app a few times. Because achievements would stop popping. After restarting the game, the achievements would pop
