If you put a bomb next to an outer wall you can go into random rooms to fight enemies and gain gold. It’s important to note that you can’t find the boss rooms this way. In order to find the red boss rooms you should travel through the entryways that are opened for you when you complete a room. They are nearly always two blocks wide. I spent a lot of time looking for bosses before I figured this out.

If this game seems hard at first, it was getting pretty annoying. I got a few upgrades like exploding bullets, shields, then I just steamed rolled the entire game. Had like 8 upgrades and 5 health and 5 shields by the boss 3.

Boss 3 Fires projectiles in an X shape whilst floating around the area.
You can actually get about 2-3 dig attacks in whilst its name is displayed before it starts to move to get a head start in defeating him.
Took me about 15 seconds of just evading end hitting from the front or side.
