How to unlock the God King achievement in Chained Echoes - Definitive Guide

To fight the ultimate boss (God King), you need to find all the elemental tablets scattered through Valandis and fight the mini-bosses to get them.
Before listing the tablets, many are located in Eastern Ograne Grottos and you'll need a few things:
Charon's Coin Bag: There's a locked manor in the middle of Rohlan Fields lake. The Manor Key is found in a chest near the Eternal Flame Temple in northwest Rohlan Fields.
Elevator Key: This is found near the end of Magic Academy Nhysa (the last dungeon of the game)
Next go to Raminas Tower and fight your way up to the third floor. Use the Elevator Key to use the elevator and go to the first floor (Down). Follow the path until you exit to the northeast area of Ograne Grottos. You should now be able to find a boat that you can use Charon's Coin Bag with to go to the eastern area of Ograne Grottos. There's a fast travel crystal here so it's easier to get here in the future. Now for the tablet list.
Earth Tablet is located in Eastern Ograne Grottos and Randomage is the mini-boss.
Water Tablet is located in Narslene Sewers and you need to fight Boutrous as the mini-boss. To get to Narslene Sewers go north from the fast travel crystal in Eastern Ograne Grottos, fall down the cliff into the dark area, then go south until you find an exit. That exit goes to the sewers
Wind Tablet is located at the Kraken that appears at the end of the game.
Fire Tablet can also be found in the Eastern Ograne Grottos. Chel is the mini-boss. This is similar to the Water Tablet except when you get to the dark area instead of going south, go east and then north. You should run into Chel and afterwards keep following the path until you climb out and get to an oasis area. The Fire Tablet is in the middle of this area.
Light Tablet is found in the north-eastern area of the Fields of Perpetua and you must fight Assassin Girl in the forest.
Dark Tablet is found in Rockbottom's mine where you burn the totem and turn all the goblins back to human.

I recommend grabbing the FIRE TABLET first as in that area you can buy a set of excellent equipment items:
4 BRACELETS OF POWER/DEFENSE/MAGIC/WISDOM
You can buy from the "hidden" vendor you can find where you obtain the FIRE TABLET (sandstormy-beachy oasis area connected to north-east exit of Baalrut-Tunnel).
These items should be helpful to fight the other bosses protecting tablets.
4 BRACELETS OF POWER/DEFENSE/MAGIC/WISDOM
You can buy from the "hidden" vendor you can find where you obtain the FIRE TABLET (sandstormy-beachy oasis area connected to north-east exit of Baalrut-Tunnel).
These items should be helpful to fight the other bosses protecting tablets.

After beating the main quest and getting all of the ultimate weapons, I used Sienne, Glenn, Ba, and Mikah and focused 100% on damage. Beat him before his second attack.

I wanted to drop a line here about strategy to beat this post-game optional boss who was designed to be the hardest of the game in the classic style of JRPGs.
This fight is necessary also for these other achievements:

There are handful of different ways to skin this cat (or godking) and most agree on 1 point: It is ideal to reach this fight with maxed out ultimate weapons and armors. Really helps damage output as well as survivability of your party.
The ACT THRICE buff Gaemdriel has can prove a lot to handle without them, but by no means is mandatory. Another set of items that are recommended and help are the 4 BRACELETS OF POWER/DEFENSE/MAGIC/WISDOM that you can buy from the hidden vendor you can find where you obtain the FIRE TABLET (sandstormy-beachy oasis area connected to north-east exit of Baalrut-Tunnel)
The strategy I used:
As a reward of this fight not only you will unlock a couple achievements, but you also get a cool monument for your base at Hermit Island.

The, Pants, Party
The ultimate boss in the game is God King Gaemdriel. You can face him by finding the six elemental tablets hidden in the world and placing them on the pedestals in the western section of Ograne Grotto. The locations of the tablets are found in the guide in the Road Map, or you can use the video below.
Once you have all six tablets, return to the western section of Ograne Grotto and inset all of them into the pedestals, which activates the rune circle on the floor. Save and enter the portal for what should be your final fight of the game. All said, the boss is not that difficult if you're using the Accessability Options to make battles easier. You can use your eagle party member's ultimate to negate a ton of damage, and armor break with Glenn to increase your own. Switch in a healer when needed, but otherwise just keep up the damage.
Once you have all six tablets, return to the western section of Ograne Grotto and inset all of them into the pedestals, which activates the rune circle on the floor.
