How to unlock the I did it achievement in Chants of Sennaar - Definitive Guide

This is for reaching the very top of the tower. It's the 'bad' ending.

If you do this without rebuilding all six links and freeing the four exiles, you might not be able to unlock:
Chants of SennaarSecret AchievementThe Secret Achievement achievement in Chants of Sennaar worth 333 pointsContinue playing to unlock this secret achievement

If you have rebuilt the links and freed the exiles, you'll be able to continue on to the 'proper' ending.

Can I just check...? If I rebuild all the links and free the exiles and go to the top of the tower - not there yet so I don't quite know what that means - I'll get the bad ending, but then I can go on to get the proper ending after this on the same playthrough? Do I reload a save?

Looking at the unlock ratios more people unlock the good ending than this one (the bad ending). How is it they get the good ending without first getting the bad? Is the bad ending missable in some way?

I've seen some people mention that in a dev update you get this achievement automatically if you go for the proper ending.

What did you do? How did you unlock both endings?

Hey - if you go to the top with all links rebuilt and exiles freed (the good ending), you will get both achievements. That's what I did. If you want to know exactly what that involves look here (spoilers!):

I don't know how to explain the unlock ratios, but I think it might have been patched at some point so that players can get both achievements on one playthrough. So the bad ending might have been missable before that patch.

Hi I’m unable to access the exiles stage as when I fit the symbol in the door glows up as normal but makes a static sound and the light goes off. Not sure if I’m missing anything or not

I am however playing on Xbox so not sure if it’s a glitch. Will try it on PC tomorrow to see if it works on there

Edit: It let me past the door to the Exiles. Turns out I messed up on the scales section at the part where you make the symbol for the door

MISSABLE (you can only miss this if you do EVERYTHING before completng the endgame task)

Once you reach Exile, there won't be much you will need to do in the area other than a few simple puzzles to learn the 32 glyphs of the community. You will quickly be able to learn the language and once you can determine the glyphs for Key, Open and Door, you will enter into a room that will help you fill out the final cyphers and receive a big old lore dump of the game.

You will then be given a task to complete. In order to get the ending tied to this trophy, you need to simply head to the endgame area without completing that task in full. There is no penalty if you do accidentaly start comnpleting a few links, as long as you don't link all consoles and doors. Head all the way to the top of the Tower, operate the console at the apex and you will initiate the "bad" ending.

As soon as the credits finish, you will be able to select "Continue" and pick up right where you left off at the top of the Tower. Head back down to the console in the area and fast travel to any of the other levels to begin your task and work towards the "good" ending,
