The I'm Thorough achievement in Charlie Murder worth 101 pointsFind all relics.

To obtain this achievement you must collect and have all 54 Relics within Charlie Murder in your inventory. Relics are special collectible-esque items scattered throughout the game that you can equip to give your character unique boosts. You can view them by pressing

-button and hitting

until you find them under the tab with a ring icon. Here are some important notes on relics:

° You need to have at least 54 open inventory slots for this.
° Low level characters will need to upgrade their inventory to Relic II or III in order to carry all relics for the achievement.
° If you ever have more than 1 of a specific relic in your inventory, the boosts will NOT stack.
° You can hold up to 99 of each relic in your inventory without taking up extra slots.
° Extra relics can be sold for $1.25 apiece or given away / traded to friends.
° Smockula's body parts are also considered to be relics so gathering those along the way for this will earn you the I Collected a Being achievement.
° This achievement can easily be obtained by having a friend drop all 54 relics to you online. See below for details.

Cell Phone
Your cell phone is a necessary tool when going for this achievement, as you must take pictures of scenery to obtain a large portion of them. By pressing

on the d-pad, this will bring up your cell camera, move the focus with Left-stick and take photos by hitting the

-button. Equipping the Magnifying Glass relic will make it easier to find them. With it equipped, whenever you press down on your cell phone a nearby relic should glimmer, indicating that it's a relic and that you can photograph it. There is also a zoom in feature that is done by holding down the

-trigger. It is important to note that some relics can only be acquired certain ways:

Random Drop Relics
By defeating enemies or bosses there's a chance they will drop relics. Some of these, you may even purchase at shops and tattoo parlors throughout the game such as the Golden Ticket and Diamond Scale. Equipping relics such as Smockula's Eye, Rabbit's Foot, Toy Microscope, and Dish Plush will cause enemies to drop relics more often. Playing in 4-way Co-op with friends who also have these items equipped will increase your chances of even more relics being dropped. By playing through the game 3 times for the difficult-based achievements, you'll have a good chance of finding most of them or you can simply have a friend give some of these odd ones to you in online Co-op. The randomly appearing small potato enemies that run around also tend to drop rare items throughout the game when you defeat them. According to Ska Studios, all of these have an equal percentage chance of dropping. A solid place to farm for them is Camp Falconbats, take the path into the woods and repeatedly play the ecstasy pill section where you use chainsaws and shotguns. The more cooperative players involved, the higher drop rates you will receive.

Photograph Character Relics
By playing in a co-op multiplayer game with different members of Charlie Murder, you can get a relic pertaining to each character in the game. Simply bringing out your cell phone and taking a picture of each playable character yields a unique Relic such as an Anarchy Pin for photographing Charlie. This can also be done with 2 controllers in Local co-op. There are 5 band member-related relics in all.

Smockula's Body Part Relics
Throughout the game there are hints on the walls as to where to find each of his body parts. Each one is not only required to get the Good Ending, but they also count as relics. Don't miss any doors in the background while moving forward throughout the game and you shouldn't miss these. These doors usually lead to a side boss fight that will drop a gold chest yielding a body part. Break open the chest to reveal the body part. Take a picture of it and it should be added to your collection of relics afterward. You can also wait for the glowing body part to drop to the ground and you can pick it up with the A-button. If playing in Co-op, extra parts will drop depending on how many players are present. There are 5 body part relics in all.

Photograph Items & Story Item Relics
These relics are the hidden ones throughout the game that you'll need to take pictures of in the background, foreground, or behind breakable items in order to obtain them. By equipping the Magnifying Glass, hitting down on the d-pad and pulling up your camera phone, will cause nearby relics to glimmer. Be sure to snap photos of them. Some of these relics such as the Golden Ticket, can be photographed, purchased, and randomly dropped by enemies. Be sure to slowly play through the story mode and take pictures of any and everything you see that may yield a special relic.

7. Car Battery (Art Street,etc.)- Photograph the hood of a destroyed car. A blue battery will be exposed at the front. This randomly appears for some cars and it will not glimmer. Try punching regular cars at the start of the stage until it shows up.
8. Silver Bottlecap (Art Street) - Photograph the star on the floor in a stall in the bathroom next to beer distillery
9. Spoonfork (O'Flanagan's Alley) - Photograph the spork on the first screen of the Hurder Burger restaurant
10. Golden Ticket (Bogomart) - Purchase at the first Bogomart location
11. Magnifying Glass (Bogomart) - Purchase at the first Bogomart location
12. Jasper Cross (St. Sander's Cemetery) - Photograph the iron cross on the fence to the left of the door next to the world map.
13. Rusty Key (St. Sander's Cemetery) - Photograph the key symbol underneath a tombstone in front of the world map
14. Smockula's Heart (St. Sander's Cemetery) - Defeat The Gory Mound boss in the Derelict Crypt, located in St. Sander's Cemetery
15. Dish Plush (The Sasquatch Museum) - Photograph the Yuki Dishwasher doll on top of a shelf
16. Emerald Mug (Gor'Castle Ink 4 Kidz Tattoo) - Photograph the Emerald Mug on the counter

23. Epic Mix Tape (Camp Falconbats Asylum) - Photograph casette tape in the Asylum right at the beginning, after fighting the Shambling Lunatic
24. Crystal Syringe (Camp Falconbats Asylum) - Photograph the syringe on the floor right after the Saw-style mini game in the Asylum. If you fight the Lady in Tatters you have gone too far, but can go one screen back to snap it.
25. Diamond Scale (Direblade Plaza) - Purchase at BogoMart

Trading Relics with Friends
If you have difficulties finding certain relics, you can have your friends drop them for you to pick up in an online Xbox Live co-op game. This goes for any other items and equips, they too can be dropped to others. And luckily, your friends can still keep all of their relics and items once they give them to you by using a simple trick.

Step 1: The person receiving the relics MUST be host. Simply invite the person lending relics to a co-op game and have them drop all of their relics to you by highlighting them and hitting the Y-button. Stand over them and hold A to equip them.
Step 2: Next, have the lender exit to the Xbox home dashboard. They should then load Charlie Murder back up and still have all of their relics once they pick their character again and check their inventory.
Step 3: Once the lender dashboards, the Host needs to save the game by backing out to the stage select map menu to save any relics or items they picked up.

The Save icon is a spinning star in the lower right corner of the screen. Once it disappears your game will be officially saved.

Once you have every relic in your inventory this will unlock. Once someone in the Xbox Live community has the achievement you can simply ask them to drop their relics off for you and you can easily unlock this as well (provided you have enough inventory slots).

Any recommendations on farming up the random drops? I've beat all 3 difficulties and have all of the +loot and +rare loot ones turned on. Should I slaughter lower level stuff for more overall kills or has anyone found higher level things give more reliable drops?

The game has an onscreen spawn limit that I've run into numerous times because people drop things from their inventory to make space for the relics. The onscreen limit is something like 60 items which is extremely problematic if you're dropping an entire set. I've had many instances where the game simply ate upward of 20 items because people empty their inventories on the same screen.

I even had one guy intentionally switch screens to despawn the items I dropped and triggered an autosave in the process, which cleaned out my Kelly's inventory until I could get someone else to help me duplicate another set. He apparently wanted to drop his relics, have me figure out which ones he was missing, then drop one of every relic for him instead of him just grabbing everything I drop and figuring it out on his own.

Apologies if someone said this already but it doesn't hurt to say it again. But if you are a person with all the relics and planning to duplicate them for someone then DON'T drop them on the ground all at once. The game can't handle that many items laying around and the excess will simply disappear. If you accidentally save your game then you lose some or most of your relics.

When you go to share only drop 5-10 of them on the ground at a time and have the recipient pick them up before you drop any more.

Also, I had some problems when taking pictures of band members in both local and multiplayer co-op, but I found a workaround with a second controller.

I had the Mage as my main character but again the pictures weren't working. So, I quit to main menu, reloaded the game (local or multiplayer worked) with a second controller (gold account, but a guest should work too) and then I took the picture on the second account's controller and had no problems. Then I would save my game, quit to the main menu, and rinse and repeat 4 times with the remaining 4 characters changed out on my main account. Taking the picture with my second controller each time had no issues. Once I was done I reloaded my main character which had all the other relics. I then dropped those 5 band member photo relics I needed on the ground from my second's inventory.

No. You aren't missing anything. Apparently once you break open the gold chest after defeating each specific boss the body part will appear mid-air with a glowing aura. You can either take a photo of it to add it to your Inventory, or just wait for around 30 seconds for the glow to disappear and the body part will drop and you can pick it up by holding down the A-button.

When playing in co-op duplicate body parts will drop depending on how many people are playing with you. There's only one section you can view your relics and that's by hitting Back-button then RB until you get to the relics tab.

100% completion achievements are the devil, this is not the first game to have them glitch, yet you see them in lots of games, even the equivalent of a platinum trophy (get all other achievements), even though such an achievement is almost guarantied to be glitched if everything is not tested. "I'm Thorough", I know someone who was not thorough, the developer in their testing !! Really, how hard is it to have a playtester get all the achievements, that would have red flagged this right away, long before it was even released, its not THAT long a game, either. I would like to see popping all the achievements be part of the testing requirement to publish on XBLA. Cheat codes are fine, as long as they are released to the public in the event of an otherwise glitched achievement, so at least everything is easily made obtainable, without waiting for an official patch, which may never come.

Yes unlike consumable items, relics DO stack. They have their own slot per Relic so when you pick up any duplicates of them the slot will have a multiple next to it. However, I have noticed that the game won't let you pick up and duplicates if your inventory is completely full.

the ice pack is located in Forbidden Lot (near the end of the game)
go from the world map sine to the right and enter the first possible building on the top!
walk to the right and after round 5 screens there is a wooden door on the top. Walk in the Ice pack is under the last Suit on the top wall get a picture of it DONE ;)

No. The relics don't stack when it comes to their boosts. You get the boost per 1x equip of each relic. Any duplicates of a relic do nothing and only have use for being sold for $2.50 or given to friends. I will edit this into the solution.

And yes GAMER, the rules for up votes on the site are quite strange. But thanks for the support nonetheless. Let us know if you find an item that's not on the current list of 53.

Spyrobo. To help answer your question. I'll just quote the guide.

"Relics are special items in the game that you can equip to give your character unique boosts. You can view them by pressing back-button and hitting RB until you find them under the tab with a ring icon." There are 55 in all to collect. The boosts don't stack when you have more than 1 of a certain relic but you can carry multiple ones per slot.

The battery for me is usually after you use the grenades on the cars past the movie theatre and its the first blue car on the top. You destroy it and it shows up in the hood.

JORAX. Try farming for relics at Camp Falconbats. Once there simply take the pathway into the woods, eat the pill then exit right passed the tents. This should place you into a strange green zone with a chainsaw/shotgun. Repeatedly beat this part all the way up to the brain stem boss then repeat again. Be sure to have all the rare loot relics equipped and have as many as 3 others playing with you to maximize the rate of relics that are dropped. I've had pretty good results with this method.

Just wondering out loud. Could it be that the item is meant to drop from the Hamburger mini-boss in Hurder Burger? Since he runs off screen and dies, i thought i saw something drop from him, and the game won't allow you to go over that far to find out... It was probably nothing, but I am just voicing a possibility

You can literally destroy him by summoning a Goliath before throwing the last piece of bread into that burger-machine. Works on Normal and Chaos as a lvl 50 character.

A: So, up until about a week ago, the patch was stuck at this bizarre engineering hurdle (basically, the “patched” Charlie was insta-crashing), but now, thanks to a helpful dude from the team-formerly-known-as-XBLA, that’s all sorted. Next up: testing!

So it seems that work is still being done and they're well aware of how badly people want this fixed. I'm willing to be patient as long as I know the wheels are still in motion.

I will download it when it comes with games for gold but not play it until it's patched and complete-able. There must be other things in the patch because changing the achievement value from 55 to 54 relics is really child's play.

Take a photo in the bathroom again on a different playthrough (either a different character then use a second controller to get it to the main character, or on chaos or anarchy modes) or get someone to either donate or dupe it for you online.

I will help anybody out but only with random drop relics - the rest you can easily get yourself, and only if you've finished the game on Total anarchy mode. If not there's still a chance to pick up your missing relics on that playthrough.

I would suggest that others do this also.

You'll need a second account, you cannot use a guest to twink stuff back and forth. I have a second Xbox account from when I still had a second Xbox, and I've been using him as a packmule to transfer stuff between my characters.

Alternately, if you trust someone to be a go-between you can have any old person hop in for 10 minutes to be an item bank.

Yeah, the inventory upgrades are 10 slots at a time, so the first inventory upgrade that you can get will give you enough space to collect all the relics. You'd only be able to hold 6 things besides those though, so you might end up dropping a lot of stuff to fit all the relics if you're going to do it that hard way without a powerlevel.

I suppose if you just wanted to get this achievement out of the way, you could start a game with a character you don't like/don't want to play just to get an inventory upgrade and hoard all the relics for the achievement, then start your "real" playthrough on the character you want afterward. I don't recall seeing an option to delete character progress though, so you couldn't do the achievement that way and then start over on the same character unless you delete the entire game savefile on your drive.

Yes. You cannot photograph your own character, so you must coop with a second controller locally or someone else over XBox Live, have them photograph your character, then drop the pin for you.

this solution is not accurate about the car battery, there are no black cars other than the barrier on Art St. You need to punch a regular car until it explodes, then if you see a blue part of the hood exposed that is the battery, photograph it.

^ You misread the solution. When it states "black" it means that is the color of the car once you attack it until it explodes. It will then turn into a decrepit, black car with a battery exposed in the hood. It was not referring to the car's state before destroying it.

So, I'm confused about Smockula's Body Parts. Yesterday, I was able to beat the first boss that had Smockula's Heart in co-op. The boss dropped 3 hearts, so my friends and I each picked on up and didn't take a photograph. The relic appears in my inventory alongside all the other relics I picked up...

So is there a separate section that shows you relics apart from that section in your inventory? Am I missing something for not photographing the heart, even though I have it in my inventory to equip? Thanks.

Honestly, It cant be hard to either ADD a relic that wont increase the maximum counter, or REMOVE the counter from a random one in the game already! seriously.

They have other priorities and now with the holidays, everything’s been on hold and will be until January. We’re hoping we can get some movement soon but once the patch is complete, it then has to go through testing and cert. That process can also take a lot of unanticipated time. Charlie Murder took nearly 2 years in test alone. If this were PC, it’d be faster to get a patch out but there’s always more time and red tape involved with console that’s frankly out of our control. All I can do is ask you have patience. I’m just as anxious to get a patch out; maybe more so since this is our livelihood and we genuinely want people playing and enjoying our games.

Update I personally talked with SK about 3 weeks ago (May 7th) Via twitter (https://twitter.com/skastudios) about the upcoming patch. Its in testing, which could mean hopefully by mid summer. The patch will fix the achievement and the private lobby issue along with reducing the lag. At least their working on it unlike past companies who just Said your SOL. *COUGH COUGH WORMS ULTIMATE MAYHEM* If you tweet them they usually tweet back they're really very nice people.

Really hope they patch this soon. When I contacted Microsoft and SKA about a month or so ago, they said to talk to the other. Apparently, the patch from SKA is ready (and they ARE very friendly) so hopefully Microsoft will push for the patch release soon.

You begin the game with only 50 inventory slots, and there are 54 relics total. You'd need to level up until you can upgrade your inventory capacity at least once (I believe that upgrade crops up level 3). If you have a friend willing to give you relics then they are probably pretty far in the game, and can powerlevel you at Camp Falconbats. A single run will land your character near level 15 and you'd definitely get to upgrade your inventory space at least twice.

Without a powerlevel and doing it on your own to get the required space, you would definitely end up unlocking "I brought down a giant", and probably "I got a tattoo" and "I gave them a show" (possibly "I'm a serious musician" as well) before this achievement.

I got it with a simple trade. A user gave me the floppy and the achievement popped up. We help each other out.
Then I tried to help a user, since we both have the same caracther, he started with a second one. I gave him all my relics and then he said it only had 46 on his inventory and then he said it vanished from his inventory. Unfortunetaly I can´t help anybody else.

FeLizP solution is worderful and have all the information anyone need about this achievement.
I 'm just adding here another possible location for relic farming: the Gor'Castle Parks entrance (Credit to KING JIGGLY on this). Take the boat ride, and skip the cut scene by pressing Y. Go to the right until enemies spawn and keep killing the 3 waves that appear as you go to the right. After cleaning the room leave it through the left exit and re-enter. Differently from Camp Falconbats you have a chance of finding harder enemies (regular enemies with 2 health bars which always drop an item): you can get from 0 to 6 of them in the room. My advice: come here after you've beat the game on the last difficult and enter this map in normal mode and you should be able to do this map in 2 minutes max with all relics on. Focus the witches as the ground enemies can die from your poison aura (if you have Pestilence Vial already). After 1h in here I was getting 10 relics in 5 minutes (though my luck wasn't helping) when I finally got my last relic.

I can confirm that playing with a dummy controller greatly increases the amount of rare drops you get while grinding. I can't say for sure whether equipping that dummy character with relics that increase loot chances helps, but it certainly doesn't hurt. Also, and I have no way of proving this, but I personally think difficulty is a factor. I never seemed to get the final four relics I needed until I switched to Total Anarchy. If your character is strong enough, there's no reason not to go this route.

Also, the drop percentages are vastly skewed in favor of relics you already have. In the three hour grind to get the last three relics I needed (Creepy Doll, Mithril Bottle Opener, and Xbox 360 Controller) I received 3 controllers and 2 dolls. I received 4 Haunted Tapes, 5 goddamn Kitty Chains, 3 Diamond Scales, 2 Mithril Cogs, 4 Toy Microscopes, and 2 Rabbit's Feet (among other relics). I even received 2 Bags of Oregano in the same Gor'castle Entrance run. I don't know what the algorithm is for the drops, but it doesn't seem favorable the more relics you get.

If you do this method with 4 people in online co-op the results are substantial. I used to farm near Gor'Castle back in August when the game first dropped but never put this into my guide. I will not edit this into my solution though because you took your time to post it here first. Nice tip.

I've been doing this...need 2 more. I was playing on live with 2 others and noticed whenever a relic dropped, they came in batches.

Load up this map as the solution says, but do it with a 2nd controller in Local. You get more drops with the dummy character than you would alone. I've done it solo and with the 2nd controller and the farming was better with the extra player.

I got the last ones I needed in this area, about 10 I believe. The pestilence vial took the longest to get and I only did the regular difficulty. Nice guide.

I have been using your method for a few hours now. When i started i needed 8 relics and got 6 of them in about 30 mins. The last two will NOT show up,just ones i already have. I have like 5 or 6 of most of them but its not dropping my last two - how is this random. Probablitily says i should have them by now,i was wondering if maybe playing on a differnet difficulty would help.

Just a quick tip - the best place I`ve found to farm the random drop items is the pirate ship. Right after you beat the computer nerd, exit to the right and fight the 2 waves of guys that come, (don`t head too far right after you`ve beaten both waves or you`ll be sucked onto the front of the ship for the boss battle) then exit left back to the computer nerd room and back out onto the deck to fight more guys. I did this on chaos mode since once you`re leveled up the guys are all one hit kills anyway, but I`m not sure if it makes a difference which mode you use. Best place to farm hands down - it`ll take a while but I got every rare item I needed here.

The other users provided great guides for where to find the relics at but if you don't feel like farming for them then shoot me a message on here or on xbl & I'll dupe them for you.

things you need for me to be able dupe:

a character besides the girl with maxed out item slots
I have to join your game to dupe them so make sure you have an open nat.

Also please be aware that I am not home on Friday & Saturday so any messages you send me will be replied to on Sunday.

In addition to the guides above, I have another suggestion to add on - play with at least one more friend/dummy controller with as many item find relics equipped.

I was struggling to get my last two relics playing by myself. Upon adding another controller and handing over duplicate relics for the increased item/rare item finds, I got my last two within 25 minutes. The increased item drops helped out and the game definately spawns more items when more players are active.

This will likely be your last achievement. There are 54* relics which you must collect to get this. Several are gained by taking pictures of specific people/things, others are gained by beating optional bosses, and still others are completely random bosses.

A full guide can be found here, with a handy Excel checklist. If you're struggling to find some specific relics, try checking here to trade for relics.

*Note:
This was glitched until June 2014 when a patch was applied to the game. The glitch involved a 55th relic that would never drop. As of June 2014, the achievement is patched to only include the 54 obtainable relics.
