How to unlock the Tournament Champion achievement in Chess Ultra - Definitive Guide
OR...
You can do it by yourself.

Yes, you can, in fact, solo boost this on one console. However, it may not be how you're thinking.
First of all, you're going to need access to 31 additional accounts...
HEY! DON'T LAUGH! GRAW boosting was serious stuff!
The important thing about the number 32 is that it just so happens to be the same number as the maximum number of gamertags you can have on your console at one time. (FYI, you can only have 16 logged in at once, if you didn't already know that. I knew that too, but anyway.) And since you have Xbox Live, ALL OF THEM DO, TOO! It's not like the old days on the 360 where we had to get a free or $1 month on those new accounts!
If you don't have 31 alt accounts lying around, well, that's not all that weird, actually. Just get a few friends and share the load. Make some email accounts at Gmail or Hotmail or pickyourfavoriteemailsite.com. Then register them on... okay, so it might be a little bit harder if you don't already have 31 alt tags set up. So, go with the everyone-has-a-few-tags method.
You should be friends with all of these newly minted fake-people so that you can do the next part, which involves you and your new friends joining a 32-person tournament that you set up and fill with these 31 pseudo-individuals. You also should note that the game needs to know that these not-quite-alive beings have access to the game, so you should have them play the game a little. I had all my critters run a pawn forward against the Novice AI and take a knight that they usually just left there. Now you just have to do the tournament!
Here's the kicker... none of you has to actually play the games! A lot of the delay in this game is actually in loading the games, but once your accounts have the game on their tags, that's most of the work! So what about those accounts?
1: Create a 32-person tournament. Select all of your mostly-dead-with-funky-Xbox-tags-like-TurtleSpit32 people. Make sure that at the bottom right of the screen, it says that you've selected all of them.
2: Log all of the tags in...and have them go to the Tournament page and delete your brand-spanking-new tournament. Deleting the tournament automatically forces them to resign, and their opponent wins the game. (Note that if you don't actually look at the bracket, the game may give you a friendly note that there's a server error. You probably don't have a potential opponent on the other side of the bracket yet. It's okay. Keep the tag logged in and come back to it. It'll be fine.)
3: Once an alt has logged in and deleted the tournament, you need to sign in another user. Go to the main screen, press and switch tags. You don't have to leave the game to do this.
4: Make sure that YOU ARE THE ONLY ACCOUNT THAT DOESN'T DELETE THE TOURNAMENT. Now, that seems like common sense, but hey, I'm not judging here.
5: You actually do need to go back and look at the Tournament page for your achievement to pop. And it will, with an obscenely low % of people who have this. Because none of them has 32 tags lying around, do they?
7: Profit.
(And yes, the same method works for the 20 tournament achievement, too. Just use 4 accounts and make 3 tournaments at once. Quitting out works wonders... I went from 5 to 20 tournaments in 10 minutes.)
Hope this helps!
Tough crowd.
You are going to need a minimum of one boosting partner for this trophy and ideally, you'd have 4-8. What you want to do is similar to how you win tournaments. You want to set up a 32-player tournament with 31 friends (that being either 31 unique friends for 4-8 friends with at least 3 accounts each)
You can have 16 accounts signed into one PS4 at a time, so if you want to go account crazy, you could do this with just one other friend.
All of those accounts need to have played at least one challenge in Chess Ultra so that the game recognizes them as players.
When you go to make your 32 player tournament you'll choose Opponent, Friend and then proceed to choose those 31 PSN IDs. Now those 31 PSN ID's need to log into the game and QUIT THE TOURNAMENT. Once all 31 have quit you'll be declared the winner.
You need to sign into the game, go to tournaments and open it up and your trophy will pop.
For clarification, the tournaments save, and even though you haven't accepted, simply being invited to the tournament adds you to it. When you quit you forfeit and therefore, the last person standing is left the winner.
But any amount of additional accounts will also make it easier to obtain the trophy.
What and how to do to optimize getting a trophy:
1. PS4 – 2 pcs.
2. Gmail account consisting of 6 characters
3. PC with Google Chrome and Google Table.
4. Time – approximately (6-8 hours)
Go…
1. Since Sony has been taken over by spammers with all sorts of tempmails, it will not be possible to register a PSN account from a temporary email address, so we create a Google account like XXXXXX@gmail.com (6 characters)
2. Download the program generator gmail adresov.exe
We feed her our six-letter box and get a file with the following content:
XXXXX.X@gmail.com
XXXX.XX@gmail.com
XXXX.XX@gmail.com
XXX.XXX@gmail.com
XXX.XX.X@gmail.com
…….
XXXXX.X@gmail.com
XXXXXX@gmail.com
XXXXXX@gmail.com
Just 31 conventional names
For those who are not familiar with the Google mail structure... the dot in the name for GMAIL is not a separator, therefore XXXXXX@gmail.com and XXXXXX@gmail.com are the same for Google, but for PSN these are DIFFERENT mailboxes, as a result for ONE six-character mailbox you can create 32 PSN accounts
3. In Chrome, go to SETTINGS and configure autofill:
You need to fill in the zip code, locality, region, first name and last name.
4. On the PC we create PSN accounts, simultaneously entering the data into a table:
AccountPSN | ID | NUMBER (latin)| Added as a friend | tournament participant
For my convenience, so as not to get confused in the last name of each account, I added a number at the end in Latin, and I set the same password for all accounts, plus I gave DIFFERENT avatars for everyone.
5. Next, on PS4 with your MAIN account, you can add 15 additional user accounts.
- We do this according to our list for the first fifteen accounts.
- Add as friends to your main account
- We go under each account to the “tasks” in CHESS ULTRA and solve the first problem of checkmate in 1 move. First incorrect (white knight on G5-E6 (Three prizes rolled)) and then correct (queen B2-G7)
6. Before deleting 15 accounts, we check from the second PlayStation that all friends have appeared in the tournament, repeat everything for 16-31 accounts. We are not deleting the last 15 accounts yet.
7. From the second PlayStation we launch a tournament for 32 players
8. On the main PlayStation, go to the tournament with all additional accounts and delete it. We repeat for all 31 accounts, and we hear “bullshit!” in the next room.
P.S. I’m not entirely sure about the need for two Playstation games, but when I tried to create a tournament for 4 players, it turned out that for three the tournament was visible, and for one it was empty, and there was no dependency - everyone except the one who created it was empty tournament. And yes, PS PLUS is not needed, the game has its own servers!
