This is a simple achievement that can be earned seconds within starting the game.
-From the main menu, go to Single Game
-Select New Game, then Continue
-Go to the Opponent row, select the globe icon, then select start game.

Go into Single game -> New Game -> Chose enviroment -> New Game
Go to the row that says opponent and select Online
Hit start game and once a match has been found, this achievement will pop

Despite the wording, there's really no such thing as a "random" online game. All you have to do is create an online game. I got this when I invited a friend who had previously played the game before to a match. Due to this, I'm unsure if you can get this by making a match and waiting for matchmaking to handle the rest.

Go to Single Game, New Game and under the second settings page, go to Opponent and choose Online. Start game and the trophy will pop. You don't need to play the game.
