How to unlock the Kitten Caboodle achievement in Chicory: A Colorful Tale - Definitive Guide

This will unlock once the first 4 children are handed into Beans.
Early on you will meet Beans and they will tell you they need your help finding their missing kittens. They are hidden around the map inside trees or rocks. The first 4 can be found fairly close to where you talk to Beans.
When there is a kitten on screen there will be a meow sound and a tree or rock will rustle. If you hold the paint button or have the paint bucket you can paint the screen quickly. If there is a kitten in a tree or rock, the color will reset when the tree or rock rustles next.
Once 4 are collected return them to beans and this will unlock. Beans will ask you to find more and give you a decoration for every 8 turned in. There's 40 total.

This achievement is not glitched!

You just have to talk to Beans before picking a single cat.
Exhaust dialogue, go inside after the first dialogue is done
afterwards come back with 2 cats.
than exhaust dialogue again, go inside and talk again.

Talk back with him after u got 4

Nah, is definitely glitched. I did EVERYTHING and don't pop.

EDIT: I made it pop. I will post a solution for this now.

It popped as a delayed unlock for me after meeting the requirements a day later while I was playing a completely different game.

I'm guessing this is buggy. As I've done everything under the sun to pop this achievement and nothing.

- Arrived with 5 kids : Nothing
- Arrived with 4 kids : Nothing
- Arrived without kids and went to get kids : Nothing.

and i've exhausted as much dialogue as possible with Beans.

I've also tried deleting my saves, restarting, uninstalling and re installing but absolutely nothing D:

Update : Installed it on pc game, uninstalled my cloud save data [Try this if you are also on struggle st] and sped ran it!

EDIT: Devs told me that every time a drawing is done, the game seems to creates a new save file. That's the reason this and other achievements unclocks almost randomly sometimes.

I will post this solution for this achievement since was the one and last I had trouble unlocking, but maybe this helps you to unlock any other achievements you exhausted all conditions and even with that didn't pop.

In short, you have to do the following:

1. Create a new game with the game you want to replace, so play for a while and save and close the game.
2. Then you remove the WiFi and find the save folder:
Windows (C:)/Users/[user name]/AppData/Local/Packages/[Name of the game folder or company that publishes the game] (in this case it is : Finji.ChicoryAColorfulTale_tys0ffscxatjj) /SystemAppData/wgs/[folder with many numbers]/[folder with many numbers and letters]
3. Inside the folder you have to find a file called "container" and see what number it has.
4. Then you delete everything and replace it with your old saves or those you want to overwrite.
5. Then look for your copied container file and change the number it has to the one the new container created had.
6. Now start the game again offline and it will read your save.
7. Then, with WiFi, it will give you the option to use your local save or the cloud save (you have to choose the local one).

This is what I did:

1. I disabled WiFi on the computer.
2. I went to the local saved files and deleted them all.
3. I started the game and it was automatically in New Game.
4. I did the first part before grabbing the brush, saved and went to the menu and closed the game.
5. I connected to the WiFi and entered the game again. It asked me if I wanted local or cloud saving; I chose the location.
6. So I exhausted the mother cat dialogue and went to grab all the cats.
7. After grabbing the last one I saved and went to the menu (I didn't move at all).
8. Then I entered the game again and went to talk to the cat and the achievement jumped.

The game has some problem with saves, because there were more than 500 files in the folder. It kind of doesn't replace them and suddenly there is no exact tracking of achievements or immediate synchronization. Then you want to take them out again but the game does not register it because it is assumed that it was already done (in a previous save that is right there). That's why it didn't work unless those save files were deleted.

Well, some mistakes by the devs on this "solid game". Is not a bad game but this was annoying to achieve.

Oh, by the way, I hope for all the idiots that dislike on this never get this achievement and suffers for that. What do you expected? There is no magical tricks for this. I got the achievement and you not. Deal with it, loser.

In Luncheon (the opening area of the game) you will see Beans the cat meowing loudly for her lost children. If you talk to her she will ask you to let her know if you see any of her kids hiding around town. The kittens can be found hidden in trees, bushes and (in a very few instances) under rocks. You will know there is a kitten hidden on the screen because they will meow softly and will shake the tree or bush they are hiding in. Find any 4 Lost Kids for this trophy and the remaining 36 for Lost and Found trophy_silver.png.

The easiest and quickest way to knock this out is to find the kitten hidden in Luncheon:
  • The first is directly behind Beans' House in a tree
  • The second is in a bush one screen below Beans' House
  • Travel one screen right from Beans' house, one screen up and then one screen right to find a shaking tree on the bottom right side of the screen for the third
  • The fourth and final Lost Kid in Luncheon can be found in a bush in Basil's garden. Basil is the old Hyena who lives three screens up and two screens left from Beans and will be along your path during chapter 2 if you haven't found him earlier
Once you return to Beans after finding any 4 of the Lost Kids you will be given a Headband clothing item, the chance to pet a kitty(!) and this trophy.
