How to unlock the Aurora Borealis achievement in Child of Light - Definitive Guide

Stardust deposits are things you will find during your adventure, they will usually look like little circles with an icon in the middle and a different color depending on what they upgrade.
A heart icon upgrades your max health
A thunder icon upgrades your max mp
A sword icon upgrades your max strength
A vest icon upgrades your max defence
A sword with lightning bolts upgrades your max magic
A vest with a lightning bolt upgrades your max magic defence
A sun looking one upgrades your max critical hit
A shoe icon upgrades your max dodge
A hourglass icon upgrades your max speed.

They can be found all throughout your adventure and generally will be off the main path, most of the time in little dead end caves or behind bushes so make sure to search the walls and places you suspect they could be hiding but this achievement can be classed as 'story related'

There has been plenty of time for a patch since that last post, but it worked just fine for me. Waited until I got five (not sure if necessary) then opened inventory. Never messed with uPlay store.

Just realised this one hasn't unlocked for me either. I know because I unlocked the equivalent Uplay action. So that's 3 now that haven't popped...

Already have 9 stardust, hasn't unlocked, but got uplay reward reward, this also happened with a couple other achievements, whats wrong with these all this glitched achievements?

You can buy them in uPlay and the achievement unlocks after accessing your inventory.

Buying them from uPlay didn't work for me so I contacted Ubisoft support. They said the only way to unlock this achievement was to delete my save and start a new game. I deleted my save from my Xbox and the cloud and started a new game. Once I got to the third battle the uPlay stardust messages popped up and the achievement unlocked.

You can get this through uPlay as well, as soon as you start the game.

  • Main Menu
  • uPlay
  • Rewards
Purchase 5 of any of the following: Defense Dust, HP Dust, Magic Defense Dust, Magic Dust, MP Dust.

Head back into the game, press cn_start and then cn_A several times as the message about new inventory items pop up. The achievement will then unlock.

These will be rewarded from various boss-type battles during the game, as well as found hidden throughout the world. When used, one will permanently increase a certain stat.

Alternatively, you can visit the UPlay store and purchase two bundles of them for 50U to unlock the achievement immediately.
