How to unlock the Over the Moon achievement in Child of Light - Definitive Guide

Right at the end of the tower through the mirror (the dungeon where you get Oengus) there will be a boss fight against a dragon and two ghosts. Beat this fight to get the achievement.

All of the enemies are weak against light, so Aurora shines here (pun intended smile). I would recommend Aurora and Finn casting spells that hit all 3 enemies until you kill the two little enemies first, and then focus on the dragon with Aurora and Oengus. The only real issue in the fight is the dragon's interrupt counter, which will heal it. But with Aurora and Oengus just using their physical attack I was doing more damage with the interrupting attack than the counter was healing.

Nice guide dude, unfortunately for me and a few others this achievement glitched on me, I did fight the black dragon before entering the room with Oengus's comrades, I'll try it again but go in the room first for a chat this time, will re post here if I have any luck...

I definitely killed the minions first and got it, so I don't think the kill order should effect it. Glad they are looking into it though :)!!

It will not work on a New Game +. I think the only way to get glitched achievements is to delete your saves and start over completely.

Thanks for the suggestion to use light attack and avoit hitting the dragon during interrupt time :)

Indeed: it popped up immediately after the Aurora's transformation. So, no glich for me.

I had saved Oengus's people first and got it. It seems like a lot of the games achievements are glitching. The only thing I noticed that helped with that is to close the game completely by going to the game's title screen, then the home screen on the xbox, hitting the menu button, and then hitting quit. Do this after each achievement (make sure your game saves first though) and then restart the game. By doing this I managed to get all of the achievements that people said were glitching (except the Tristis one, but I didn't start doing this until after that glitched for me).

Ubisoft responded to me today saying this -

"Thank you for reporting this issue. This is a known issue and has been sent through the appropriate channels for processing.

If this issue is resolved, the solution will appear on the support section of our website or fixed automatically in an update.

Sorry for any inconvenience"

So hopefully it won't be too long until its patched.

Good to know the they are actually going to fix this thing.. Just for the record I did exactly the same as oneluckybullet and deleted my save and started over, this time round I did go in the Oengus' comrades room before fighting the black dragon and popped the achievement, so it is still possible to get even if it was previously glitched, hope anyone re-going for this gets as lucky as I did.

Ps I killed the black dragon first, then the two minions not sure if that'll make a difference? Maybe I'm looking into things too much...

Glitch for me too, I'm trying a to get it on a "New game +". I will let you know if it works or not. Otherwise, I hope that Ubi will find a solution to solve this problem, and that we will not have to play a new game to get it !!!

Got it finally, but how ? I don't know !!! A "New Game +" didn't work as PhycoLlama said.. So i deleted first my saved game and star a new one. Before entering the boss for the "Recover the moon" achivement, I disconnected my Xbox from internet in order to keep my saved game on the cloud safe. My idea was to delete my local saved game and after reconnected to internet, synchronize to restore the saved game on the cloud to my local drive. I didn't need it finally... After fighting the boss, after recovering the moon, no achievement !! Arghhh, really desapointed ! Si I decided to delete local saved game and the game too in order to install it again. So, to do this, I reconnected to internet... And as the game installation was in progress, I was checking my achivements.... to discover that I had 100% for this game... and yesss the "Recover the moon" Achievement was there ! I don't know how ! Strange...

Right at the end of the tower through the mirror (the dungeon where you get Oengus), there is a boss fight against a dragon and two ghosts. Beat this fight to get the achievement.

The two ghosts are weak against light, I used Aurora and her Starlight attack (Lightray just didn't seem to cut it for me, but will also work against them). I used Oengus' Kategida Kleave to focus on the dragon, only attack the dragon if your attack will not interrupt its attack, otherwise, they will full heal (Or heal a lot of their health back). Normal attacks seem to be the strongest against the dragon.

Also heal with Igniculus, or potions if you end up in red health, one attack can easily kill you, you can also use revive potions if you do die.

I ended up killing off one of the ghosts, then the dragon and just had a few more rounds at the last ghost. So you don't necessarily need to kill off the smaller ghosts first like the walkthrough suggests (Which is what I did in the beginning and kept losing [Game Over]) :).

P.S I helped Oengus' clan before fighting them and still got the achievement.

Story-related, can't be missed.

Just after getting the trophy for Óengus joining your party, you will leave the castle through the right and head outside. Walking a bit further on will initiate a conversation with one Aurora’s sisters that eventually leads to a boss fight. Beat the boss then go through the scene afterwards and you will get the trophy just after.

Story related and can not be missed (Chapter 8).

We will get it according to the plot at the end of the 8th act.
It is necessary to defeat Crepusculum (protection from magic, healed when interrupted).
