this is story related, and unlocked after beating the boss of the 3rd area of dungeon 2. the boss is very easy, it will duck in the ground and grow 4-5 tree branches, kill the branches and the boss will stay in the ground for 3-4 seconds, during this time just hit him with everything you have. the branches will drop health orbs as well if you are getting hit.
