How to unlock the Juggle Master achievement in Chime - Definitive Guide

The tutorial in this game (a few static pages) is pretty awful.

You build your multiplier by creating new quads (3x3 blocks of green) - not by growing an existing one.

So, build several independent ones.

The time limit is based around the parts of the blocks you use that don't form a quad - you're never going to build a perfect 3x3 quad, there will be blocks left over (called 'fragments').

Once your first wave of quads have turned red (once their internal timers time out) that space can be built on again, so try to create more quads using those 'fragments'.

The longer you leave a fragment, the brighter it will get. Once it starts flashing, you have one more sweep of that bar that creates the music. After that your multiplier ends. So concentrate on building quads on the brightest fragments - but remember to keep building quads in other areas as well.

Once your multiplier hits 25x, the achv will pop right away.

As stated in the other solutions, Brazil.. 9 minutes. Easy shapes, the most time. The way I did this was to set up combos by joining 3x2 rectangles with each other or the "L" shaped with each other and then topping them off with the long line or by building on top with the aforementioned pieces, just making sure that the 2 of the rectangle or the 1 or the L are touching the base of your combos. Presto! No fragments. No worries about your combo disappearing.

Worked awesomely! Low-hassle, easy maintenance... Low stress this way.

Also to note, interlocking the staircase shapes with each other, and the U-shapes together can clear out neatly by sandwiching them in 2 L-shapes. Check what piece is coming in next. You can plan to take out the staircases using 2 of the same type of L, or U-shapes using 2 inverted L's.

Thumbs up for this one. I ran out of space around 18 combos, so then I just started making combos everywhere from the pieces I had as quickly as possible. Got it first try.

Best solution! A totally no pressure method to get it done.

This solution + J Pinder's comment = pure genius.

Start up a round of Philip Glass' Brazil in Timed Mode, 3 minutes.

Roughly build a two block thick "wall" around the entire edge of the board, making sure as to not complete anything set off a multiplier. After building your wall, set up a few nearly complete 3x3s in the middle.

Once you have all of this laid out, start throwing blocks around to get as many small quads to go off as possible. With this set up, you can probably get a 15x in one pass of the bar.

After that, simply build as many small quads as you can. You should be able to hit 25 before the flashing blocks expire and your multiplier ends.

I found 3 minutes to be plenty of time to get the achivement, and also quickly finish the game afterwards to count the points towards the "Big Bucks" achivement.

I used this method as well with one small change. I was having trouble getting the full 25 with just the outside edge, so I made another two deep row in the middle. I think I finished with a multiplier of 29 doing it this way.

Solution worked perfectly, except I made a few unfinished blocks in the middle and used 9 minutes. Any reason you suggest 3? Being able to build your wall without a short time limit breathing down your neck seems easier to me.

Something the other solutions don't mention is that if you play on 9 minute mode, you can help yourself along by just covering about 90% of the board on the first stage, then start setting up some combos while finishing off the last 10%. With any luck and decent planning, you'll enter the second stage with a 10x combo or so, but with no fragments on the board to screw up your combo.

Getting from 10x to 25x with an empty board is a lot easier than trying it with fragments everywhere from previous quads.

To get this achievement you'll need to make 25 quads in a row without breaking your streak. Your streak can be broken when you lose unused pieces to the beatline. Each time the beatline passes over a piece that isn't being used, it drains a bit of its 'health' away. If you notice a piece flashing, that means the next time the beatline hits the piece it'll disappear and take with it your multiplier bonus. I again suggest using Brazil for this achievement.
