How to unlock the Radiation Area achievement in Chorus - Definitive Guide

There is a side quest in Nimika, that is easy to miss. It is called "Civilian Convoy: Distress". The reward is the "poisoned spear", which is the required weapon for the triple kill. I got the achievement on a sentinel.
The exact position of the quest is shown in this Video at 0:27:

Don`t worry about the problems regarding unlocking on the steam version that he's talking about. The problems seem to be fixed on Xbox. It popped right when I met the requirements.

It might be noteworthy that the quest only spawns once you have progressed far enough in this region. You need to have, at least, met Anwaan I believe.

Don't need to get a triple kill with a single missile like all the guides are saying, just 3 kills with the weapon.

Anyone else having issues with this? I've definitely killed more than 3 enemies with radiation clouds but my counter is stuck at 33%.

Mine is stuck on 33% too. It was on 33 before I had the poison weapon. I’ve watched 10+ ships die from the poison and it hasn’t popped or changed percentage.

It works with turrets, just don't hit them directly. Fire a rocket next to it and let its health bar diminish for the poisonous cloud

Hey so this is just for 3 TOTAL KILLS with the cloud. It does NOT need to be a triple kill. Just shoot it near a turret and let the cloud kill the turret then do that 2 more times and you got it.

I haven’t found this weapon yet. But I’ve had an issue where the achievements stopped updating and unlocking in game. When I’m at a breaking point I save and quit and then load up the game on cloud gaming. After hitting continue, my achievement backlog unlocks and the progress as well.

It might be helpful for some as I couldn't find the answer anywhere. The Civilian Convoy Distress came after I did the first part of the Seeker "Song of the Void" mission when trying to get the Tablet in Nimika. After completing Song of the Void I next did a mission for Awaan in which I watched his disciples before being told to head to the Kinuuk Fields. Before heading there I noticed that the second Jump Gate had a question mark on it so I headed over and that's when the Civilian Mission became available in the place that the video shows. Hope this is helpful.

I was able to kill 3 enemies with the poison spear weapon by shooting into a big ship

Hey so this is just for 3 TOTAL KILLS with the cloud. It does NOT need to be a triple kill. Just shoot it near a turret and let the cloud kill the turret then do that 2 more times and you got it.

In the final area near the jump gate you can complete a quest where you pilot a spirit class vehicle. The reward is "Poisoned Spear". Use it in large groups or near turrets.

In the last location, where there is a huge space city, there will be a task to escort a convoy. During this mission you will control a Spirit class cruiser. As a reward for completion, you will receive rockets that, after explosion, create a sphere of radiation. These missiles need to be fired so that the enemy gets into this sphere and dies from it. And so three times. The easiest way is to shoot turrets, especially clusters of them.

The trophy cannot be missed, after the last task you can return to the checkpoint before it, weapons will be given only in one place, on Nimik, the task is called “Civil Convoy: Distress Signal. The missiles are called sent spear
