How to unlock the Super Self-Sufficient achievement in Cities: Skylines - Definitive Guide
Hi. I've just unlocked this so I thought I'd share, I played the game as normal on a new map not scenario. I made sure I only built residential in a selected area. Waited for about 3,000 residents, I did the district area on two roads and changed it to self-sufficient. Then SLOWLY, road by road added to the district area. It took me about 20 minutes real time to do this.
I learnt the hard way that if you do it all in one go, residents and money drop fast.
Hope this helps.

Offices are considered a type of zone, IT is a district assignment. Use the district painting tool then assign IT to it.

I don't understand how to select a specialization for a district. I know it's for another achievement but it's related, for example... if I paint an area for industry and replace them with office buildings with the goal of IT specialization... how do I choose the IT specialization?

The easiest way to do this is to start a new Scenario, then simply just change all the residential zone to self sufficient.
What I did
-Natural disaster scenario (not necessary this one)
- Build 3-4 new streets for more residential zone and the changed it along with the others.
That’s it :)
