Don't forget you can switch to multiple trees from single.

Not to be confused with the road services tool which adds tree roadside.
Go to the landscaping tool (shovel icon), go to the Vegetation tab then select any tree/bush (I chose Alder). Change the Tool Mode to 'Place Multiple', increase the brush size and strength then place until the achievement pops.
