How to unlock the 1001 Nights achievement in Cities: Skylines - Remastered - Definitive Guide

The solution is based on the guide by Domanator316 from the Xbox One Achievement.
Solution for 1001 Nights In Cities: Skylines

You need to create a new save on the Laggon Shore map and fast-forward (cn_LS) to the moon position in the video. The moon is still slightly visible. Once you have reached this point, save the game (cn_start).

Now you simply need to fast forward the game at triple speed (cn_LS) and once the sun has reached its position as seen in the video, press the menu button (cn_start) and reload the same save and repeat the process until you have unlocked the achievement.

I got this achievement last and it took me about 7 to 9 hours.

Thanks for the reupload, is the turning around actually important?

I can confirm that this works as of 3 May 2024 - great guide, thanks for including the video. It seems to me that the ticker for the end of the night comes as soon as the moon disappears from the sky, although I gave it an extra few seconds after this happened each round for safety.

For reference it took me I think about 14 hours cumulatively to sim what was approximately 800 nights at 3x speed, although I gave myself a healthy buffer to ensure that each one counted.

It's nice that you can cheese this. But just playing for all of the other achievements will get you about 90% of the way there. So I suggest waiting until you have everything done before even attempting. Besides, you'll still need to wait for hours to unlock the bird-tornado achievement.

Somewhere it was written that you need to play continuously, but this is not true. You can turn off, save, load the game, it will not affect. You need to make sure that there is a place to put garbage and corpses and leave the console on as much time as possible. According to the game time, I got 11/06/2245. The population was 100-140 k. and no one was particularly hurt.

The longest trophy in the game! It is the dynamic change of time of day that is considered, so check in the settings if it is enabled! According to my calculations, it should fall out after 150 hours of play (9 minutes one day).
The trophy is cumulative, you can play a new game without worrying about it.
If this is the last trophy you have left, like me, then start a new game. And don't build anything, you can go and take a break from the game!) Time will pass, the population will be 0, but the money will not be used. If you build even a piece of a road, money will be taken for its maintenance, and when you go into the minus, the game will constantly pause and offer you a loan!

Do not disable the day and night cycle in the settings, otherwise you will not receive the trophy.
The trophy also drips at zero population, and with it you will get the fastest day/night cycle.

In total, you must spend 340 years in the game with the day and night cycle enabled.
I don't know how people managed it almost 100 years earlier, but I got the trophy in 2320 in an empty city, with the main city being 50+, where I actually spent half the time with the day and night cycle turned off.

Unfortunately, the trophy turned out to be a bit glitchy for me, although after reading on foreign sites, it also crashes there. I had at least 3 saved cities where 30-50 game years were played in each where the day and night change was enabled. So, starting a new game without building and with a quick change of day and night, I should have stopped before 2245, as indicated in the 1st hint. But I stopped at 2219 game year. Very strange.

I confirm, the trophy dropped in 2270 on an empty city, while 72 years had already been played in another one.
It seems that the game speed does not affect the day and night cycle, because I played both cities at speed 3, but for 220 years the trophy did not fall out. Maybe other commentators were wrong?

After receiving all the trophies, I created a new map without building, the trophy fell on the year 2258.
There were also 2 cities with a population of 100k, where approximately 40 years passed, so the time of receiving the trophy may differ.

1001 Nights - this trophy is cumulative. It is counted for several maps. Therefore, everyone has a different year of receiving the trophy.

I recommend getting this trophy by playing in a small city (optimally 20-25 thousand population) because while trying to get it I noticed one incomprehensible feature of the game: when the city reaches a certain number of population, the speed of time scrolling at the second and especially third speed noticeably drops and in a city with a population of, for example, 120,000 residents it goes noticeably slower than in a city with 20,000 residents - accordingly, in the first case, you will spend much more real time to get the trophy.

Leave the game on overnight, remembering to turn off power saving and connect the gamepad to the charger. Start the game from scratch, without building anything, at the highest speed. The trophy is cumulative
