Add a guest user and use a second controller to be able to start a multiplayer game.
To make it fast, just let the second player shoot the black ball in the hole and job's done.
PS: I waited hours for an online opponent to turn up before realizing, it's a local multiplayer achievement :-)

Select ‘Multiplayer’ from the main menu. On the next screen, you would normally sign in a second controller to play against someone, but for some reason this does not work. No matter what I did, I could not get a second controller to sign in.
So what I ended up doing is when it was the second player’s turn, I would just let their time expire, resulting in a scratch. This allowed me to place the ball anywhere I wanted making for an easy shot. If I missed a subsequent shot, I would let the time run out on the second player’s turn again then repeat. Keep doing this until you sink the 8-ball and win the match.
