How to unlock the Double-Clutch achievement in Cloudberry Kingdom - Definitive Guide
first of all, head over to the arcade, choose your character and then select Escalation mode. You then want to choose the spaceship mode. (works for any more in escalation but i found spaceship to be the easiest.)
although you still have to get 1.5m score legit, there are a few tips that can make it a lot easier. Once your in the game, work your way through the levels like normal, saving up as many lives as you can and collecting the best multiplier you can. once you hit around wave 50, you are going to hit the Y button and select the slow motion power up. from this point on, you will be using this slow motion power up for every level. this will ensure that you max out the multiplier a lot more AND stay alive. do this until around wave 100-120 and the achievement should be yours, assuming you managed to keep a descent combo. the more times you break your combo (missing gems or dying) the more levels you will have to complete.
another tip that a lot of people seem to not know about, on the spaceship level, if you press the A button it will speed up your ship.
hope this helps :)
At around Level 48 I started using slow motion (had a little more than 500 coins at that time) and slightly before Level 100 I got the achievement.
This is one of the more difficult achievements in the game. Escalation is the easiest mode to get this in, but it's still no cakewalk. The levels in the Arcade are randomly generated, so there is no definitive method to unlocking this achievement, but here are some tips:
First, unlock whichever hero you're best with or you find the easiest to work with. A lot of people prefer the spaceship hero due to its ability to stall at the beginning of the stage, but whatever works for you works for you.
Second, make sure you get all of the coins and don't die within the first 40 levels to maintain your multiplier. Take your time, progress slowly and carefully. While your your multiplier will increase every 20 levels, the levels get significantly harder as well. Earning as many points as possible in the first levels is crucial to getting to 1,500,000.
Third, if you do die or lose your multiplier in the first 40 levels, retry. It's most likely not going to happen without those points.
Fourth, once you do get past level 40, if you come to a level that looks difficult or you question your ability to beat it with all of the coins and without dying, use the slow motion powerup. It can make a lot of difference in a level, and keeping your multiplier is very important.
User tyler1701 provided this tip, which basically tells you everything you need to know about how to get this trophy:
]I find the Escalation Spaceship level the easiest to do this in. I got 1.9 mil on my 2nd try, 1.4 on my first try.
A couple hints would be to take advantage of your multiplier early. If you aren't getting almost every gem in the first 20-40 worlds, start over and try again. This will save you a lot of headache in the later levels.
Also, as soon as you complete a level, hold back. The levels sometimes like to randomly start you in front of a wall, or a gem on the opposite side of the screen from you. By holding back, you can do a quick evaluation of the level before it gets started. I found this essential on my 1.9 mil playthrough.
It may take some practice before you get comfortable manoeuvring the spaceship, but once you do, this trophy is actually really easy. Also, some of the later levels can be pretty menacing with the number of obstacles on-screen. If you get overwhelmed by some levels, feel free to purchase a powerup, the slow motion one is definitely the best for this scenario. Be cautious with your spending though, as you won't get as many gems in this mode and buying powerups frequently will quickly deplete your total gem count.
You can also try the Jetman time mode. I scored more than 900,000 points on the first (trial) try. The levels are small and much simpler than in Aggravation, there are few crystals (3-4 per level) so it is almost impossible to break a combo (only if you die). So in this mode, the main set of points comes from combos. The only thing is that you need to act and think quickly, otherwise there won’t be enough time.
