Please note that this game is hard. You will unlock this achievement through natural progression if you stick with this game. When that happens, well that's dependent on your skill, but it will undoubtedly happen.

Now If you're looking to get this achievement done quickly then the easiest method to earning both the "Noob" as well as the "Look What You Have Done!" achievements for those without turbo controllers (which allow you to press RB + LB simultaneously to quickly 'reset' on any level and counts as a death) while idling (and not manually mashing the reset button over and over) is as follows:

First, go to Chapter 1 in the Story and complete levels 1-11 to get level 12. Once there, save the level code and either finish the level or just quit out. Please note that even if you are further along in the story, your progress is protected as your “continue” button at the top of the story menu will still be set at the furthest level you have gotten to in the game and thus not affected by replaying parts of chapter 1.

If you haven’t earned then you will earn it here when you save the level.

When you exit the level and return to the main menu, head for free play and load up your saved level (press 'x'). Once in the level rubber-band your controller so that you run left toward the wall of spikes coming after you. You will die once approximately every 1.88 seconds meaning that, from 0, you will hit 1337 deaths in about 42 minutes of idling earning you your achievement:


If you are not comfortable for whatever reason rubber-banding your controller then just standing there will see your character die once every 3.55 seconds and will net you this achievement in 1 hour 15 minutes. No matter which method you choose, make sure that your controller does not die during this process. If you're interested you can check your statistics (in the pause menu) at any point during this process to find out how many times you've died.

Once your Noob achievement has popped in game, you can finish the level and click “watch replay” on the menu that comes up to unlock


Please note that there are several other levels this method can be done with, in fact you can realistically rubberband any level and it will kill you, but level 12 seems to present the earliest and quickest method to obtaining these deaths while idling. The reason we save the level code is because, for some reason unbeknownst to myself, you may only watch replays during the story mode on levels that are multiples of 10.

Okay so to save going through the game for a long time, you can do the simpler option, the way I just have completed this achievement.

First head into the free play mode, you can use either your current save or make a new save via cloud or hdd, whatever kind of save you want. I chose a new save as I was going for the "My Beard is Impenetrable" achievement, and made the death statistics easier for me to track



Next comes the spam but quicker way to obtain the achievement, the minute that the level starts press LB + RB AT THE SAME TIME! this forces your character to respawn.

So pretty much keep pressing LB + RB until you have pressed 1337 times.

Also you can check how many deaths you have had by pressing start then in the menu choose the statistics option, scroll to the bottom and it will tell you the total amount of deaths you have had.
